Chapter 36

Arena

"Arena will you please get more chips from the cabinet in the kitchen?" I heard my mom asked. "Sure mom!" I went in the kitchen to get the chips. This party is fun and all but it's taking all the energy out of me.

I brought the chips out and gave them to mom. I started to feel a little light head to. I looked around and saw everyone having lots of fun. I can't tell everyone to leave now...I know I'll just get some fresh air.

I snuck up stairs and into my room. I opened my glass door that lead outside to the deck. I went all the way out on it and looked up a the stars in the sky. I felt a nice cold breeze pass by and I closed my eyes, this is much better.

Standing there by myself, I started to recall everything that's happened in the past mouth. I wonder if I'll ever catch up with school, it's definitely not going to be easy.

I smiled a little, it's still hard to believe I'm home and it's not just a dream. It was dead silent the only thing I could hear was some crickets. It's strange every time I've been alone today I felt like talking to David.

That's one reason I dragged him away from the airport with us. It felt weird leaving him, maybe it's because we have been together almost every second of the day for the past mouth.

I just got the habit of always having him around. He really was helpful out there in the wilderness. Without him I would of either starved, got eaten by the a bear or freeze to death.

I touch my arm, I still remember how warm his body was when we cuddled the one night to keep warm. It was really nice, probably the only time I got a good night sleep when we were out there.

I sighed, I want David to be happy but ever since we departed the resort he's been moody and upset. At first I thought it was because he was just tried but the sad look in his eyes tell me something's bothering him.

"What's bothering you so much David?" "Would you like to know?" Startled I turned around and found David standing there leaning his back on the sliding glass door.
