David
"Why are you even here?" I heard her asked and I picked up her English project "you left this in my car, I was just going to give it to you tomorrow but it didn't look done so I thought I would bring it back so you could work on it." I saw her sigh "I'm sorry I forgot about."
I looked at her a little shocked, did she really just apologize to me? Her phone buzzed and she looked down at it "oh I almost forgot Travis is coming over at four." "What?" I heard the little kid wine. "Travis is coming over, sorry Max your going to have to play by yourself."
"No sis please tell him not to come." "Max I can't." "Pleaseeeee." I looked at the kid, you should just give up she'd never going agree to it. I thought to myself and then I heard her say "fine I'll tell him something came up." I almost dropped her project but I managed to get a hold of it again.
"Yea!" I heard the kid yelled and I looked at him...maybe I should ask him to teach me how to do that. "What should I tell him though?" I heard Arena ask. "Tell him you realized that your true feeling belong to a stuff bear." She glared at me "why are you still here?"
"Because you still haven't taken your project from me." She looked at the project again "right..." She opened the door and I came in. "So where do you want this?" "Put it on the kitchen table" she answered. "Okay...where's the kitchen?"
"Just down the hall, Max can you show him I need to go grab something." "Sure sis." I followed the kid down the hall and into the kitchen. I set down the box on the table and sighed. I looked down at the kid who was staring at me. "What is it?"
"You want a juice box?" "No I'm good I better get going before your sister kills me." "I'll go get you a juice box" I saw him walk over to the fridge. "I guess I'm drinking a juice box." He came back and handed me a juice box I took it and read it "orange flavored huh? My favorite."
I saw him smile "that's my sisters favorite to." I took a sip and smiled "really? I didn't know it was possible for us two to have something in common." "do you hate my sister?" "Well hate isn't the right word I would use."
"Will you take care of sis on the field trip." "How did you know about the trip?" I asked him. "I heard mom talking about it on the phone." "I see" I replied sipping on the juice box. "So will you please keep an eye on her?" I looked at the kid and sigh "I guess I could keep my eye on her a little"
"Thanks Dave." "It's David" I said. "Oh okay Dan." I shook my head "never mind." Arena came into the kitchen "now why are you still here?" "He offered me a juice box" I said with a shrug. "Well now you have your juice box leave." "But I was hoping to see the end of that confession."
"Out!" She yelled and I smiled "see you around kid, I'm glad someone in this house has some manners." I saw Arena glaring at me "okay I'm leaving, take a chill pile or something." I went outside and got in my car. I slid in my seat a little "My energy as complete left me now" I sighed and started my car.
"Why do I always feel this way after talking to her?"
