Arena

Honestly does he not trust me, I can take care of myself. I picked up a stick, why was my heart pounding when he was really close? I picked up another stick "I think this should be enough for now."

I turned around and froze. A little ways in front of me was a bear and he was looking right at me. Without meaning to I dropped my pile of wood. "Calm down Arena." I whispered to myself.

"She won't attack you unless she's hungry or her babies are being threatened." All of a sudden I heard cub cries, "oh no where are they at?" I looked around but I couldn't find them.

I looked back at the mother bear and she was running towards me now. "Roarrrr!" Knowing if I just stood there I would be dead I sprinted right. "I need to get back to David but I can't just lead this bear there."

I looked back and saw the bear still chancing me and it was catching up. "Crap this isn't good, I need to get out of its sight." But before I could make a decision I tripped over a log.

I sat up "ouch that hurt, ah the bear!" I looked back and the bear was right behind me. I started to scout away from her as much as possible unable to get up without her being able to attack me.

But before long my back hit a tree "oh no I'm done for." The bear raised his paw up and I closed my eyes. But instead of being hit I felt something grab my hand.

I was pulled to the right and I was up on my feet running again. I opened my eyes and saw that it was David who had a hold of my hand and was pulling me. "D-David?!"

"I heard a bear like noise so I came looking for you. This is why I don't like you going off on your own." Not sure what to say I stayed quiet. After a couple minutes of running we find the river again and caught our breaths.

"It doesn't look like she chased after us." David finally said. "Yeah, David you got hurt!" I yelled looking at his arm which was bleeding. "Yeah when I was pulling you away she got my arm a little with her claws."

"We need to treat that." "With what Arena?" I thought about it, we might not have tools but I might be able to... "Come on!" I grabbed his hand and started to drag him over to the river.

"What why?" "I'm going to fix your arm the best I can." "You don't have to Im fine..." I tighten my grip on his hand a little. "Please David..." "...Okay fine, fix me up doc." I smiled a little "Yeah..."
