Finding The Real Me

I woke up with a lot of pain in my back. I some how managed to sit up and looked at the burnt out fire. This isn't good my back is getting worst not better.

I looked over at Arena who was sound asleep. I can't let her know I'm in pain or she'll start blaming herself again. I stood up and and stretched my arms. "Well might as well get some food."

I went into the woods and started to look around. I think I saw blackberries when we found this place but I didn't recognize them then. I looked to my right and saw them.

"There they are." I was about to pick them when I heard rustling sounds behind me. I looked back and saw Arena standing there. "I see your up now, found blackberries we can eat for breakfast help me out?"

"Why?" "Why what?" I asked starting to pick berries. She showed me my jacket and I looked at it "Okay it's my jacket...what about it?" "Why did you put it on top of me last night?"

"Because you were shivering and my jacket was warm." "But weren't you cold?" "Yeah but you had to sleep in the cold the first night so I thought it was only fair to let you use it."

"Thanks..." "It's nothing, so how many blackberries do you think you will eat?" I glanced over at Arena and she had tears welling up in her eyes. "W-what's wrong?" "I thought you had left me..."

"What made you think that?" "Well...I made you mad last night and then when I woke up I had your jacket and you had disappeared." I looked at her and she was trying to hold back her tears.

I smiled "Your so stupid." "Oh yeah!" She started but I stopped by putting my hand on top of her head. She looked at me surprised and I started to mess her hair up. "I'm not going anywhere."

"But.." I shook my head "Even if I was to leave it wouldn't really do much. Besides if I'm going to be out here I need decent food. I need a good cook, do you know where I can find one?"

She shook her head yes and I smiled "Good, and about last night...forget about it I was talking nonsense. I'm not mad at you okay?" She was silent for a couple seconds and then answers "yeah okay."

"Let's pick us some berries to eat!" I started to pick berries again. I need to be more careful of what I do for now on if I'm going to get us out of this.
