Arena

Me and David had just visit Max and now he was taking me home. It was dead silent between the two of us. "...tell me how bad is his condition?" David finally asked.

"Really bad." I answered. "How long does he get-" "I don't know" I said cutting him off not wanting him to finish. "Arena why didn't you tell me?" "There was no reason to" I answered.

"There was plenty of reasons to tell me." "Like what, what could have you done if I told you? It's not like you can cure him David." "Maybe not but I could of made it easier on you."

"How?" "Well starters I would have helped you do are science projects instead of this stupid thing we have been doing." "Taking turns doing it isn't stupid." "Yes it is Arena."

I went silent. "I also wouldn't have fought with you so much." "It doesn't mater." "it does matter Arena." I looked at him and he glances at me. "Look you might hate me but to me were still friends and I care about my friends."

I sunk into the car chair a little. Why can he can about me so much after how I've been treating him? "Have you eaten?" He asked me. "no I haven't." I answered and then he turned.

"What are you doing?" I asked when BurgerKing came in sight. "Getting us some food" he answered. "There's no need I'll make something when I get home."

"No your going to eat on the way there and then when you get home your going to go to bed." "I can't I have to do the project." "No don't worry about it." I looked at him "we can't get a bad grade David."

"And we wont, tomorrow we have time to do it in class we will have to work quickly but I'm sure we will get I done." Not up to arguing about it I just went silent.

He order me and him some food and then started to drive back on the road. I ate my chicken strips in silent and looked out the car window.

I saw out of the corner of my eye the rock that David used to decide our way in the wilderness. "David...you think everything is going to be okay?" He glanced at me and back at the road.

"...I don't know Arena but I like to believe that they will be." "Yeah me too..." David dropped my off and like he told me to I went to bed and closed my eyes.
