Dawn's POV:
"Max, I think this batch is ready~"
I called and Max came and peeked through the oven pushing his glasses before he took the gloves and opened it.
Ash came a little while earlier and he is now putting icing on the cake. He planned to make the cake appear like a golf field and it seems like he is doing well. He said that he made his research and he even called Teresa and Abigail about how to properly do it so he is confident it will turn out well.
Meanwhile, I helped Max prepare the cookies and placed them in a tray decoratively arranged.
We spent some more minutes working in the kitchen and when we were done, Ash asked me and Max to help out put on decorations in the living room. It even made me wonder how effortful he is as it is for his dad's birthday.
If dad is still alive, would I have the same thought to prepare something like this for him?
I was caught up when Ash shoved me from behind making me twitch in place and he even told me how easily scared I am. I didn't mind him and I only continued putting on the letters on the curtain and I saw Max tying some balloons together.
"Did you plan all of this, Senior Ash?? I bet you and your dad are close, huh?"
Max spoke up making Ash to grin before helping him with the balloons.
"Actually, it is my mom's idea, Max, so we planned for this. She said it might be a bit like a children's party but I guess we share the same hobby~ Nothing more matters as long as this will bring dad a smile! And I suggested if I could invite the band here too and good thing mom agreed."
I was listening to their conversation when my phone rang so I needed to answer it quickly seeing it was my sister. I even went outside to get a better signal at the moment.
"Hey, Blue... Where exactly is Ash's house?? I need to go there..."
I felt like something was different when I heard my sister on phone and I gave the address before asking her what's wrong. She didn't mention anything but only told me to wait for her and she hanged up. What happened??
"Dawn!"
Right then, May appeared by the gate and she was waving at me smiling so I went and let her in.
"Is Max here??"
I nodded as my response and Ash and Max appeared by the doorway that May was likely relieved to see her brother again.
"Did you behave, Max?" She quickly interrogated and Max only pouted at her immediate question before we went in.
"Why do you need to ask such a question, sis?? I am not a kid~ But yeah, I did. And we did great in baking the cookies and the cake too! Though there is a bit problem with the golf field Senior Ash was working, it is still good~"
Ash scratched his head hearing Max and he said that the cake was still fine. It is simply because there was a small mistake that happened actually but we didn't mind anymore...
"Hey, watch the cables~!"
Ash was too late to warn May that she tripped and lost her balance. Simply, she accidentally pulled the curtain we just set up and it was brought down that made us redo our decorations twice faster because it was nearly twelve noon.
