May's POV:

"Tug tug tug tug tug! Tandadannn!" Ash quickly made a welcoming pose in front of the entrance when we went out of the car and his gesture made Dawn to chuckle behind me.

"You're ever so cheerful, Ash..." I commented closing the door and walking to him with Dawn.

"Haha~ That makes Ash who he is..." Dawn spoke up and we shared our chuckles before mister raven-haired intervened again.

"Hey, hey... It's my way of welcoming you here afterall~ We haven't been here together so let's all enjoy the foods in here, okay? Yosh! Astrum Silhouette is entering The Mercato Escapade!" Ash led us inside and nothing more than the aroma of selectable delicacies and foods filled the atmosphere of the place.

"It's still a mystery that Ash knows a lot of places to go to. Are the foods here cheap??" I heard Keyboard who walked pass us already and he went to a foodstall to see what they're selling.

"Hey, Drew, the foods here are great, you know, and they are just right for their prices... Woah! Beefsteak with chicken wings! Ah~ Mister, was this the one with your special burst flavors??"

Dawn and I went to the food stall where the boys went and Ash already made his order of that beefsteak he just mentioned. He sure seems familiar with this place that it is almost unbelievable that he knows a lot of people here too because he has been greeted and called onto since we entered this place.

"My order will take a while to prepare. Have you had anything you want to try for a taste, guys??" Ash asked us this time.

"Ash, I am getting the scent of pancakes." Dawn said.

"Really, Dawn? That's the first thing to detect in this place??" I commented and she smiled at me fidgeting her fingers.

"Oh, there's also some food competitions around here??" We heard Keyboard and we spotted a poster with that statement.

"Ah yeah. Games and the like~ You have to pay a certain amount to that lady over there and you can join their so-called Grand Master Food Game. But you know, not so many join it. They say it is hard to win.. Haha~" Ash told us scratching the back of his head.

"Ooh~ So have you tried it, Ash?" Dawn asked.

"Well yeah.. Sort of. But no luck to win~" Ash replied and he fixed his cap looking at that poster.

"Why don't we try it out then~" We heard Keyboard and he was looking so serious and determined that we did not have anything to say against him.

We only went to the lady that Ash pointed and registered there.

"All the best, May and Drew! Win! Win!" We heard Dawn cheering us when Keyboard entered the first trial and were already donning the gown, boots, mask, goggles, and helmet before entering the dark chamber of something.

I took a deep sigh before leaving a reassuring smile to Dawn and I stepped in the chamber following Keyboard already holding a knife with each of my hand.

I ended up partnering with this guy in this game since Dawn did not want to participate and the requirement is in pairs.

"Go! Go! Go! Yosh! You can do it, May and Drew!" Ash's shouting echoed in the chamber even though we have already made a turn and disappeared from their sight.
