Dawn's POV:

Today is the day that I am totally back to school and I have never felt this nervous as if I just wanted to go back home for another excuse of absence.

I grasp the strap of my bag when I stepped in the entrance gate and I only lowered my head walking in the campus until I reached my locker.

It was the only place I could go to firsthand in the morning and, as a routine of mine, I found myself before my locker already without having some seconds to look around me or whatever.

This just feels so awkward to be back again after being gone for like a long time. I could even feel like I was being followed by some strange gazes out of nowhere. Also, the whispers that re-echoed in the hallways earlier made me remember what Drew told me last night.

I brushed the thought out of my head and closed my locker after putting in what I needed to place there.

Meanwhile, a greeting rang in my ear that I twitched in surprise and fear at the same time. When I turned around, a pair of hazelnut irises where beaming at me along with the matching grin of Ash.

He gave me a salute and a big smile before he told me that he has been waiting for me to come earlier. He was carrying his guitar case as usual and he suggested that we should visit the clubroom since it has been a while that I was not here but I told him that I wanted to see how the garden is at the moment.

"Wow~ It seems like May did a great job taking care of them..." I said as I admired the freshly blooming rosebuds when we reached the garden which I honestly missed so much.

I also noticed how spotlessly clean the whole garden was and everything was in proper and pleasant arrangement. It seems like May also relocated some of the ornamental plants and planted some new crops too.

At the land next to the garden, there were also planted crops that were already growing too. The first years have done well in their gardens too~

"Uhm~ I... I feel like I have always been here all along during my coma." I uttered out because of my delight upon seeing what has become of this place when I was absent. "I should thank May for keeping this place well..."

"Of course, you should. She has been busy with the student council lately but she never forgot to remind me to attend here as her substitute for some time if she couldn't come here." I heard Ash from behind me. "She really looked after this place and she always scolds me to do my work right or else you might not like it when you are back. Ahhh~ May really got your fondness of the garden work now, Dawn."

I smiled to myself hearing about it and I turned to face Ash.

"In that case, Ash, I-"

I did not finish what I was to say because instead of saying anything further, I already shouted in fright and I even felt my hairs up. It was because Ash was holding onto a cat and I remembered it to be the cat he used to pet around here.

I stepped aback and I told Ash not to get near me or else...

"Hey, don't be afraid too much, Dawn. Kitty Meow only wants to welcome you back~ Afterall, Kitty Meow has been watching over this place too..."
