125 - "A PATIENT WAIT FOR A PATIENT TO WAKE"

Ash's POV:

"See you tomorrow now, Ash~" May waved her hand and she walked her way out of the school gate.

I was left looking up at the sunset-colored sky and I grasped the strap of my guitar before walking the opposite  direction. I only wore my headphones which I bought for myself a few days ago and I listened to the song that we are currently working on these days even it is just me, May, and Drew.

As I was walking on my way, a car parked on the roadside and the window slided open before I saw Serena who gave me a smile. I took off my headphone and she invited me to just ride with her going to the hospital.

"You have not brought your motorcycle today, Ash?" Serena asked me when I was already seated at the backseat and she eyed me from the mirror as she was sitting next to the driver.

I shook my head with a smile before answering. "It is currently on repair until tomorrow~ Thanks for letting me in for a ride today!"

She quickly averted her gaze from me and she only looked back on the road ahead.

"No problem at all, Ash. You're always welcome for a ride if you want." And she smiled. "So how has Dawn been doing? She isn't yet awake, right?"

I was caught by her question knowing the definite answer to it. I leaned my back and I laid my guitar case on my lap.

"Yeah... It has been two weeks since that accident and she is still not waking up~ But I am sure she will do so soon enough! It is Dawn afterall~" I replied being all positive with my address. "And when she wakes up, we will be able to get back to practice as a band~ But I think she needs to rest before that..."

"Oh, I see... Well, it is good to be positive~ I can't wait to watch you guys perform again..." Serena said and she smiled at me.

We talked about other things and I was actually the one who got a lot to say until we reached the hospital where Dawn is curently admitted. It is also the same hospital where me with May and Drew taught the middle schoolers how to play ukelele and, at the moment, there are now just only three who are left out of the fifty because the others were already permitted to leave and are already in good and recovered conditions.

I led Serena upstairs to Dawn's room since she told me that she also wanted to pay a visit. It so happen that Cynthia was just outside the room and was talking on phone.

"Cynthia!" My greeting was rather enthusiastic and the blonde-haired woman moved her sight to us and she lifted a corner of her lip upon seeing us.

"Hey, Ash. You came to visit again and with someone too~" Cynthia said and she lowered her hand that held her phone and she also smiled to Serena.

"Hello. You must be Cynthia~ It is nice to meet you... I am a classmate of Dawn's and the name is Serena. I came for a visit..." It took a while that Serena and Cynthia ended up conversing and I only excused myself and entered the room to see how Dawn was.

I was already filled with a positive aura when I entered the room and I sat down on the stool I usually sit on that was beside the bed. I looked at the wall parallel on my left side and saw the decorations there which made me smile.

I laid down my guitar case first and I took out a colored artpaper from my bag and started making an airplane origami.

"Hey, Dawn. Today, Drew went to participate in the piano competition. It was held today since it was moved~ I hope I could have been there but he said that it is better to not go though~ He even said that he might get nervous if me and May went to watch him... He is kind of getting humorous about it but I believe he will be able to win it~!" I narrated even though Dawn is not really conscious yet but I know there is a part of her that might just be listening.
