Dawn's POV:

"Ash, she's your m-mom??"

My voice was rather uncertain when I spoke and I did not averted my eyes on the photo of Ash being hugged by her mother in the photo that I realized I also likely froze in place.

"Yeah. I got her eyes, right?? Oh, they're here! Let me greet them outside... Please set up for our song, guys! Let's get this party started! Yosh!"

"Huh? But what will we sing, Ash?!"

Ash already ran out of the house leaving me, May, Drew, and Max. May already took out her phone after Ash did not answer her and connected it to the speakers quickly. I saw Drew to have taken out his roll-out piano instrument and Max fixed the microphones and took the camera from the shelf.

I was the only one being in panic of what I should do and I closed the photo album which May handed to me when she went to prepare herself and her drumset app connected to the speakers.

"Did Ash mention what we will sing exactly??"

I asked when I held onto the microphone and that's when Drew gave us a calm gaze.

"Drop the curtain." He said that May realized it and so she pulled the rope to drop the curtain and hide us before the door opened and we heard the voices of Ash and his dad coming in of the house.

We were knowingly quiet behind the curtain and I honestly did not move a muscle thinking that I would be tempted to make a noise.

We were able to see through the curtain a bit and the silhouette was rather unclear but we remained still waiting for Ash's signal.

"Dad~ Happy birthday!"

Ash greeted with a resounding applause and a playful grin before giving his dad a tight hug. Then we heard his mom to have entered too and it sounded that both Ash's parent's were pleased to see the decorations and such.

"Ash, let me bring this to the kitchen and we'll bring out your dad's surprise, okay?"

I was caught up with that familiar voice of Ash's mom. I didn't know what I am feeling right now but I felt like there's this feeling of having thousand butterflies in my stomach.

I couldn't say if it is excitement or nervousness or something else. I only stood motionless and I even heard the breathing of May and Drew who were eventually both beside me.

"So Ash, you got everything ready?"

We heard Ash's dad to have whispered to him. It was because they eventually drew nearer to where we were hiding behind the curtain that we who were hiding heard them.

"Yeah, dad... They're just here behind the curtain... Right, guys???"

Ash was the one who whispered this time and it made me confused then May stretched his finger against the curtain to reveal our presence to Ash's dad.

May met my confused gaze when she pulled back her arm in and she smiled excitedly at me.

Wait...

"Aren't we supposed to play and to surprise Ash's dad?? How come-"

"Yosh! Play it, Astrum Silhouette!"

I didn't finish my statement and I only glinted when Ash already pulled the curtain when we heard his mom coming back from the kitchen. I was in total mental block that I actually tightened my grasp on the microphone and was silent when Drew already started playing on his roll-out keyboard device and May already made her beats on her phone.
