CXXXII.
~:•:~Dawn's POV:
My sister and I arrived at the cemetery where we headed directly to the place of our father's grave.
"It's been quite a long time since we visited here..." I heard my sister to have uttered out as she drew nearer to the grave.
I only stood a few centimeters away from her and I looked at the inscribed name on the grave. It made me smile lightly just remembering the face of this person whose name is what I read.
I bended myself when my sister did so too and she started dusting off the area before she laid the flowers we brought along.
"Sorry, we weren't able to come earlier, dad... It just so happen that something came up and Dawn got hospitalized for a couple of weeks. I know that I should have looked after her more closely..." My sister said and I could hear her breath as she spoke.
"It was an accident, dad. But there's no need to worry because I am okay now. I also understand that sis worried so much and I am thankful she could smile again like before now. I thought that she would look old after worrying about me during my coma~" I said and my sister glanced at me likely being able to smile with what I said. "She is still so amazing, dad. You could have been with us and see how great she is doing her best in her work. She might really be famous one day~"
"Oh, Blue..." My sister spoke wrapping her arm around me and she leaned her head to mine.
"Dad... Father's day is over but we came to remember a great father we had... I have always been asking why you had to go when we were still that young... We never had anybody else but you since mom was not with us too and it still makes me miss you a lot." I spoke that I felt the tears from the corner of my eyes to be tempting to come out.
"No matter what happens and what to come, dad... We are staying strong together! We know that we have to always be strong and never forget you in our hearts. You know what, Dawn is starting to change a lot and as you can see, she is now dressed like she will have a date later~"
I narrowed my gaze to my sister after hearing her and she only giggled.
"Well, as always, I would still do my best to look after Blue, dad. And until she could look after herself, I will be here for her always. Thanks, dad. You are always who encourages us to keep on living because of how you raised us. We love you more than ever."
I shoved my sister and smiled at her before I looked back on the grave.
"Dad, next time we visit, sis will surely bring her someone special to meet you~"
"Huh?? Blue... Where did that came from? Ahh... We'll see about that, dad. I would say that maybe Blue would have someone she likes by now??"
I laughed at my sister's response before I was caught in her playful hands that squeezed my cheeks.
We stayed for some more minutes before we decided to leave and we got back in the car.
"Hey, Dawn. Don't surprise me if you happen to have your special someone first than me, okay?" And my sister winked before she started the car with her key.
Her statement made me shrink on my seat and I only looked at the windshield. The next thing I knew, sis told me to not forget my seatbelt.
