"THE HOSPITAL VISIT"

Ash's POV:

*tap tap*

*snaps*

🎶I'll court you when the day comes, yeah....🎶

I couldn't keep myself from singing the song I was playing on my MP3 player while I am sitting here at the burger stall outside the hospital.

Today is the day that Astrum Silhouette will be teaching some middle schoolers how to rock n' roll with a ukelele and I can't wait for it to start. However...

"Oh, hey, May!!"

I grabbed my phone next to my ear and I heard that boyish tone of the girl on the other side of the call.

"Ash, can you not wait for us anymore? Something came up and Dawn and I needed to stay here at K'Royal until the shift is over... I didn't know there was an occasion tonight so all staffs are needed to work tonight to attend to the customers~ We'll make up next time. Maybe tomorrow?? Yeah. I really didn't know but we really can't go there right now..."

"Huh? You mean you can't come for the teaching session today? What's the occasion? Oh boy.. Well, fine then. Do your best at work! And is Dawn there too??"

I heard some noises and it seemed like May was called to do something. It really sounds like they are busy right now...

"A-Ash??"

I glinted when I heard Dawn's hesitant voice.

"Ash, we're sorry we can't come. There was a sudden event and we were told to stay and work because we will be short on staff tonight. I am really looking forward to go there though... Sorry. Sorry..."

I smiled to myself and I paid for my second order of burger before replying.

"Yup~! It's fine. I totally understand. Don't worry anymore. I will still go afterall. All the best for the event there and do well!"

"No need to worry, Ash! I'm sure we can manage... Okay, good luck there!"

The call ended that I took a deep breath taking a big bite on my burger and standing up facing the hospital building before me. I grasped my guitar case over my back and readily prepared myself to go inside.

"Yosh! I guess, I'll rock n' roll solo for now~"

I entered the hospital and the guard gave me a special card pass with my picture on it.

Thanks to Drew, I can now proceed with the task. Drew was the one who asked permission from this hospital to allow us to teach those kids and not be restricted and he also sent the ukelele instruments this morning. He also already had confirmed approval from the parents and guardians too so I have nothing to worry about but to do the task.

I went up the second floor browsing my phone to see the list and profiles of the patient I needed to attend to first.

"Of all times... Dawn and May got something on schedule at K'Royal. And Drew had a business meeting with his Dad again... Boy, am I on solo??" I brushed the thought and geared myself with enthusiasm when I stood at the door of the first patient's room.
