XCVIII.
~:•:~Dawn's POV:
It is already the morn of Wednesday and we have been awoken when a loud thunder resounded outside the house and I was taken out of my peaceful slumber that I held onto May that woke her from her sleep as well. Meanwhile, I spotted Drew who was already awake and he was standing by the open window that May and I mistook for being a ghost that the two of them argued about it too leading for Ash and Max to wake up too and I got to giggle seeing the raven-haired boy with his half-opened eyes and his cowlick hair showed off which is mainly concealed behind his cap all the time. He yawned a long one before he grazed up the narrow, triangular, and edgy tuft of hair in the middle of his forehead that points to the right side and he greeted us a good morning.
Max only wore his glasses before he asked May and Drew to resign from their early morning arguments that the two really did.
"So the rain hasn't stopped yet??" Ash lingered to the window where Drew originally was standing before and Ash even brought out his head that the gust of wind greeted his morning and woke him even more.
"Hey, guys. I think someone just came by~" We heard the raven-haired when May and Drew began keeping the beddings and I helped along with Max that Ash called us to look out from the window since he has pointed something from the outside.
"Maybe he is a delivery guy??" May trailed off after the man on the motorcycle drove away with the two-wheeled vehicle and through the rain of the storm that we saw Miss Abigail to have gone back in the house after likely dealing with that man.
We finished up cleaning the room and went downstairs to see Miss Abigail sitting on the couch in the living room and she was gloomily looking at a white paper with an envelop on the other hand.
We greeted her and she quickly got up and smiled at us that Ash was the bold one to ask her what's wrong. Miss Abigail soon told us that she got some problems with cake orders for today. But since there's a storm, she can't manage to make the orders and deliver them so they will just be cancelled.
"I don't really like to cancel orders but given that we are having a storm today and my workers won't come today too and since my niece is not here right now, I have no other choice~" She told us and I noticed the disappointment from her voice before she invited us for breakfast in the kitchen.
"Do you have a lot of orders for today then??" Ash asked in all curiosity when we have seated to eat.
"There are about nine supposedly. Four are supposedly for birthday celebrations and the rest are for other special purposes but I have decided to cancel them all for today and I will be calling the customers later after breakfast." Miss Abigail told us and Ash brought down his spoon on his plate.
"If you have your delivery guys here today and your niece to help out, will you still cancel those orders then despite the storm??" We were caught up with Ash's question and Miss Abigail likely fixed her glasses and eyed him interrogatively.
"Hm, I might not need to cancel the orders, Ash~ My two workers who happen to be males work even there's a storm like this before but they needed to attend to their families this time so they asked me to take a leave for today and tomorrow... Why have you asked such a question, Ash??" Miss Abigail asked and Ash only smirked mischievously that I somewhat felt uncomfortable with what he had in mind.
