KAILEE POV

"Psst, baby." She whispered near my ear before kissing it.

I kept my eyes shut, hoping she'd leave me alone. That didn't happen because this was River.

"Babe, you awake?" She tapped my shoulder lightly. "Can I go meet the guys later?"

I groaned loudly in annoyance. "Riv, I'm your girlfriend, not your mother." I said, still half asleep.

"Mama says I should still ask, because women get mad for things you don't think they'll get mad for." She justified.

I rolled over to face my green eyed girl. Through hooded eyes, I saw her staring back at me with a smile.

"You couldn't have waited until I woke up?"

She shook her head. "I was impatient, plus your alarm didn't go off. I think you're late for work." She answered casually.

I bolted upright. "What, why didn't you wake me earlier?" I asked, running to get ready.

She followed me into the bathroom. "You looked too angelic to wake up."

I started to undress, I wasn't afraid to get naked with her in fear of it being seen as teasing. She showed me time and time again I could trust her and she was fine with it. "You just woke me up."

"Oh, yeah. Sorry, babe." She said, eyes glued to my breasts.

"River," I whined. "Leave me alone to get dressed." I pushed her out.

"Let me watch, I'll behave." She tried to come back in.

"Out."

I hurried through my shower and brushed my teeth. Threw on the first thing I saw which happened to be a black casual dress. I grabbed my jacket and slipped on my heels. I didn't bother with my make up and put my hair up in a bun. I made my way down, the smell of coffee greeting me.

"You look ravishing." River complimented, walking up to me with a to-go container and a travel mug. "Breakfast for my baby." She bowed. "Damn, I feel like a wife." She placed her hands on her hips.

I giggled and kissed her soft lips. "Thank you, baby. So does that mean I'm the top?" I teased, pushing aside the word wife.

"No, wait does it?" She whispered to herself. "You made me a bottom." She accused me.

I laughed and kissed her goodbye. "Be good, Riv."

"Drive safe!"

I parked my car and got out. Trying to carry my food, coffee, purse and some folders were proving to be difficult. I tried to balance everything and was about to walk when my breakfast almost fell. Groaning, I placed everything on the hood of my car.

"Need some help?" Jennifer came up to me.

"Uh," I looked at her then my stuff before nodding. "Thanks."

"No problem." She grabbed my folders.

We walked into the building in silence, before she spoke. "Listen, I just wanted to apologize for the other day. I was out of line and while I do admit to finding you extremely attractive." She smirked, which I noted wasn't as sexy as River's. Fuck, I was whipped over her. "I shouldn't have made that comment. I'd like to be friends if that's okay?" She asked as I unlocked my door.

I walked in and placed everything down, then answered. "That's fine, I guess. Just know your boundaries." I said with a serious expression.

"Yes, ma'am. Anyway, enjoy your day." She waved as she left.
