RIVER POV

I had a big stupid smile on my face. Throughout my shift I was getting weird looks from everyone but I didn't care. It wasn't the fact that she pleasured me, it was that she let me go further with her. She trusted me enough to try and she didn't freeze up or freak out. Of course, her not being mad at me was another reason.

I looked across the room and spotted Gail. With squinted eyes, I went to her desk and sat at the edge of it. She stopped what she was doing and faced me.

"What the fuck was that the other night?" I whispered harshly. I didn't need anyone hearing.

She sighed and rubbed her temple. "I am so sorry. Dean, he saw you and he knew we used to have our little thing. I really am sorry."

"My girlfriend was mad at me." I frowned. "I almost had to sleep on the couch."

"Almost?" She asked with an amused expression.

"Yes," I pointed to my face. "I'm too adorable for her to actually do it." I spoke more seriously after. "I don't appreciate someone trying to mess with my relationship."

She huffed out a laugh. "You know me, River. I'm all for a good time but I don't fuck with people's relationships. Dean and I aren't even together, he's just pissed."

I sighed because she was right. She never gave off that vibe. We only had our thing going on because we were both single.

"I know, just watch that Dean. You know I won't hesitate to punch his face in." I finished with a nod.

"Got it, Matthews." She saluted.

I gave her a thumbs up and returned to my desk.

Wyatt and I were on patrol. It was a quiet night but something felt off. It was too calm. I was driving while Wyatt rapidly texted on his phone.

A call came through the police scanner, telling us there was a disturbance at a convenience store. I stepped on the gas pedal and made a U-turn. We pulled up a little ways from the store and walked up. Through the window I saw a guy walking around hastily throwing stuff, while the old cashier looked terrified.

He didn't look armed or dangerous, maybe just a little angry. Wyatt and I shared a look before going in.

"Excuse me, sir?" Wyatt called out.

I made my way to the old man behind the counter. "Did he hurt you?"

He shook his head. "No, he just came in and starting throwing things around. He's a homeless man, I see him around all the time. Sometimes I even give him free stuff."

I joined Wyatt in trying to calm him down.

"Sir, wo-" I started but was cut off.

"Shut up! Just shut up. I just want food." The man yelled still throwing stuff.

"Well, if you'd just chill maybe you'd get it." I retorted.

He stopped and turned to me. "You, I know you. Y-you're that girl that destroyed the statue in the park."

I grinned as I recalled that day. "You remember that. Man, that was like two years ago."

"Yeah, I was sleeping on the bench when you broke it. Then you got chased by cops, now you are one. Do they let just anyone on the force?"

I regarded the homeless man. How long had he been on the streets? "Listen, how about we stop throwing stuff and get you some food?"

"No!" He yelled, before grabbing random things and running out. "I hate the police!" Then he ran down the street.

The three of us just stood shocked and bewildered for a moment.

"Well, that was something." Wyatt muttered. "Sir, we can help you clean up."

The old man came out from behind the counter. " No no, that's okay. My children can help in the morning. For your troubles, would you like anything to eat or drink?" He kindly spoke.

"It's no problem at all, Sir. Thanks but we're okay." Wyatt told him.

I frowned and looked at him. "Speak for yourself."

I went and grabbed a pack of Lays barbecue chips and a KitKat for Kailee. Then I took an apple juice from the fridge.

"Thank you, sir. Would you like us to wait until you lock up?" I asked the kind old man.

Since he took my offer, we helped him lock up and then left. We finished our rounds then went back to the station. I held my drink against me with my arm, and ate my chips as I walked to Captain's office.

I walked in without knocking and sat. "Hi. Chips?" I held my Lays out to him.

"Next time, knock." Was all he said.

"Why? I'm your future daughter-in-law. We're family man." I grinned as he scowled.

"Shut up. Come see this." He gestured to his papers.

I went to stand behind him to see better. The minute I saw the names, my playfulness went away.

"That's the names of all the victims."

"What do you see?"

I frowned in confusion. "Five names of teenagers and four names of adults?"

"Want to know what they all had in common? I'll tell you. The teenagers were all popular, played football, soccer, cheerleaders. Bullies. They bullied other kids. That night you saw the three boys, the third that went home wasn't a friend. He was the kid they had doing their homework."

I nodded and sat at the edge of his desk. "Okay, and the adults?" I continued to eat my chips, I loved these.

He sighed and shook his head. "They were popular too. Pretty much the same, bullied other kids and played some type of sport. These aren't random. Wesley was just the source to the school and whoever it is, is taking care of the adults on their own." He threw his pen down harshly.

"Hey, Kailee does that. The pen thing when she's frustrated." I pointed out.

He glared at me unamused.

"Right, sorry. So we have to find out who is doing it. Maybe someone who got bullied at school. But what about the adults?"

"We have to figure that out. Now, get out. Your shift is over." He dismissed me.

I sighed and got up. "I'm telling Kailee you're being mean to me even though I offered you chips." I fussed and left.

I went to change, deciding to shower here so I wouldn't have to do it later. I made sure to take the KitKat and left for her place.

I carefully opened the door and quietly made my way up. It was after midnight so she was probably asleep. I stripped down to my boxers alone, then looked down at my breasts.

"Small boobs deserves love too." I mumbled to myself.

"They sure do." My baby's sleepy voice startled me.

Hand on my chest, I breathed out. "You scared me. Were you waiting up for me?" I asked with a goofy smile.

She chuckled, her sleepiness sounded too cute. "I was trying to, I think I drifted off for a bit."

I crawled in next to her and moved her hands out of the way. Taking my usual spot, my face in her neck and her arms around me to rub my back.

"I got you chocolate." I said as I bought her leg up to my waist.

She hummed in response, then felt a kiss on my temple.

"Oh, your dad was being mean to me and I was so nice." I mumbled into her chest with my eyes closed.

She chuckled softly. "I'll talk to him." She moved so she could reach my breasts. Then placed a kiss each on top of them before resuming our position. "Sleep, you big baby."

Didn't have to tell me twice.
