Sequel: Chapter 14

LEXI'S POV
"Harry..." I croaked.
There was no answer...just the sound of the piercing wind slicing through the thin, frosty air.
I shook his shoulders gently. Still nothing.
I leaned my head down and pressed my ear against his chest. He had a heartbeat, but it was so faint I wasn't even sure if it was really there or if I just wanted it to be there.
"Harry, wake up! Wake up!" The hysteria was returning as I shook his shoulders harder and still received no reply.
"Please Harry! I love you! You can't leave me like this! Not after everything we've been through together!"
Every single bone in my body felt like it had broken. One thing I know for sure that was broken, was my heart. It felt like it had shattered into a million pieces, it was broken and there’s was nothing anyone could do to fix it.
I had spent so much time worrying about myself, when I should have been worried about everyone else. I should've been worried about the boys, Kayla and Harry.
Maybe I just wasn't expecting it. I was so used to being the one who's life was on the line, I never thought to worry about everyone else's life even though they were in as much danger as I was.
I was stupid and selfish and now Harry would die because of it. And it was no one's fault but my own. I'd never experienced so much pain and sorrow before in my entire life. At that moment, there was nothing I wouldn't do to save Harry. I needed him like I needed air.
"I can save him! Let me go!" Whatever it was that had been keeping everything around me silent must have broken, because I could now hear everything going on around me.
There were sobs of despair, shouts of anger and growls of terror and confusion all around me.
And there was Caroline. She was struggling against the firm grip Niall had her in, but when she saw me she stopped to catch her breath.
She was obviously weaker, since Niall was now able to hold onto her.
Caroline was now entirely white, with not single black feather left, even her clothes now matched the snowy land around us. I could sense that she was somehow no longer evil, but that didn't change what she did. I had completely forgotten she was the one who did this to Harry. Not me. She was the one who killed him.
Anger flared into my emotions, but then I remembered what she had said. She said she could save him.
"You-you can?!"
She nodded her head yes. "But I need to do it now or it won't work. And I need your help" she said to me.
"How do we know we can trust you?" Liam asked, as he wiped the tears from his eyes.
She looked at me hopefully "Because Lexis made me good. There's no longer an evil bone left in my body...I don't even think you could call me a demon anymore...However, there is a consequence..." she trailed off as if finishing would cause her pain.
"I don't care. Just fix him!" I demanded.
"Lexi! This is serious! We're talking about practically bringing someone back to life! That's just not possible!" Kayla argued through her tears. She was being reasonable, and I knew it, but I didn't care. I'd accept whatever consequences came from this as long as I got Harry back.
"I'm sorry Kayla. But this is Harry and he's not dead yet. We have to let her do this."
"Merle. What kind of consequences are we talking about here?" Derrick asked.
