Sequel: Chapter 16 (LAST CHAPTER)
June 1… about 15 days after battle…
HARRY’S POV
It’s been a little over two weeks since the battle in Antarctica, everything was back to normal…well normal for us. The stone had been hidden, Caroline was gone, the scales were balanced and Lexi and I were happy.
We were all so young, I was twenty, Liam, Niall and Zayn were twenty-one, Louis was twenty-two, and Lexi was the youngest of us, except Kayla. Lexi was only nineteen and she had saved the entire planet. Not just a town, or a city, or a state, or a country, no. She had saved this entire world. I was marrying the Protector of Mankind.
We had already set the date, and it was in less than a month from now. She had said she wanted something small and simple, but I knew her better, and knew that she wanted something elaborate and big. Deep down, she wanted what every other girl in the world wanted. In some ways she was just like every other girl, except she wasn’t.
The wedding had been set for June 25. We were getting married up in the mountains, somewhere private and somewhere beautiful. Somewhere that reminded us of everything we’d been through together.
Bridgett was Lexi’s maid of honor, and Liam was my best man. The rest of the boys were my groomsmen, and Valerie, Mattie, and Lulu were Lexi’s bridesmaids.
Kayla was the flower girl and despite everything, Conrad was the man who would be walking Lexi down the isle, since her father had past. I guess, I could in some ways understand why Lexi had asked him to give her away. He had guided her through everything and in many ways had been a fatherly figure towards her.
Everyone was excited, as was I, but I was nervous too. It’s not because we were so young, or because I had cold feet because I didn’t. I couldn’t have been happier, I was marrying the girl of my dreams. It’s just that I didn’t want to mess anything up. I wanted everything to be perfect for her, I wanted her to have everything she ever wanted and more.
There were going to be at least 600 people at the wedding. Lexi had invited everyone from her home town and they were ALL coming. And we had met so many people during our time touring and Lexi had invited all of them as well, she said that she didn’t want anyone to feel left out. Lexi had changed the lives of so many people, not just because she saved the world, but because of everything she had done for the world. She had donated almost everything she ever earned from performing and had given it to charities across the globe, I doubt she even has over $10,000 in the bank. Before I had even met her, Kayla told me that she used to volunteer at numerous organizations every single weekend. And on more than one occasion, she had saved several girls from the crowd who were being trampled. She always gave her time away to those she felt needed it most. She never told me, but one time she gave me her phone to hold, and a text messaged popped up on her screen. I was curious and couldn’t help myself so I started scrolling through her messages.
She had been talking to at least ten girls, who had been struggling in life. In each conversation, there was a text to her that said: ‘Thank you for saving my life’. I had nearly broke down, right there. She was doing so much with her life, and it only proved to me more and more that she was truly an angel sent from heaven.
There was so, so much she was doing and I could not have been more proud of her or be more in love with her than I already was.
June 16…
Today is June 16…nine days until the wedding. As each day passes by, I only grow more excited, more anxious and more nervous. Especially since I have no idea what I’m going to say in my vows.
