Chapter 32

LEXI’S POV

January 25…same day…

I opened my eyes just in time to see Harry, swing and punch her in the jaw.

“Harry!” I screamed in relief.

Caroline stepped back in surprise, Harry swung again but she ducked and missed.

Harry stepped forward to catch his balance and Caroline shoved him so hard he flew back at least ten feet. He gripped his side, in pain and struggled to get back up.

She started storming toward him “Stop! Don’t hurt him!”

She paused and turned slowly to face me “Why do you care what I do to him?!” she barked.

I looked to Harry and tears filled my eyes “Because, I love him” I said turning my head to meet her eyes.

“You foolish girl! Didn’t you hear what he said to you?! He thinks you’re a demon! Why are you protecting him?! He doesn’t love you!”

“That’s a lie! She made me say those things!” He exclaimed, as he pushed himself up off the ground.

She spun around to face Harry “SHUT UP!”

He looked past her and his eyes stared into mine, so intensely I felt like I’d melt from the burning passion that flamed behind his beautiful green eyes.

“Lexi, I love you”

“I said shut up!” Caroline growled. She lunged at Harry, but Harry flew up and behind her. Caroline was fast though, and she jumped up and tackled him to the ground.

I stood up, and my feet and hands were practically frozen from the freezing snow.

“Caroline!” I screamed.

She grabbed Harry by the collar of his jacked and turned to face me.

“What?” she hissed.

“Put him down. And pick on someone your own strength” I said firmly.

“Fine” she smirked. She threw him and he flew back even farther than he did the first time.

He tried to get up, but collapsed back on the ground.

“You’re evil” I growled.

“Thank you, I try” she said approaching me slowly.

She swung her fist at me, and I ducked and threw a punch at her gut.

She bent over, and tackled my legs. I fell to the ground and she got on top of me, I rolled over and punched her again. I stood up and was about to kick her when she grabbed my feet and pulled me down again. She stood up and I used my legs to grab her feet and knock her over, we both scrambled to get up and soon faced each other again.

I spun around, gaining momentum and swung my leg up, my foot made contact with her skull and she side-stepped.

She regained her balance and looked up at me “You really think you have a chance at beating me? I’m not even trying right now” she hissed.

“That’s good. ‘Cause I’m just getting warmed up”

We threw punches back and forth for a while, but she showed no sign of slowing, I on the other hand was getting tired.

I wasn’t made for this kind of stuff.

Caroline was just about to kick me when a hand flew out of nowhere and grabbed her foot, and jerked it back, causing Caroline to fall to the ground.
