LEXI’S POV

November 10…same day…

The boys shot questions at me that I barely had the strength to answer, every single word I spoke caused me pain.

What if they were right, what if someone did this to me on purpose…why would anyone do that to me. I thought hard about what I possibly could have done to make someone hate me so much that they would want to kill me. I couldn’t think of anyone, I’m not saying I’m perfect, I’m far from it, but I can’t remember ever doing anything to anyone. I would never intentionally cause someone pain.

 “Who did this?! Who did this to her?!” Louis demanded.

“I know who did it” Harry said. “It was Caroline…”

“WHAT?! How could you possibly know that?!” Niall asked.

“Niall! Think about what you just said! It describes her perfectly!” He yelled. “It’s her, I know it’s her and when I find her, I’m gonna tear her limb from limb” he said, balling his hands up into fists.

“Who’s Caroline?” I asked.

“Why don’t you tell her Harry?” Niall said, glaring at him.

He looked to me carefully and was just about to explain himself when Niall interrupted him.

“Caroline, is Harry’s disgustin ex-girlfriend” Niall said.

Harry looked at him, then turned back to me, pleadingly.

“Wait…you dated someone in her thirties?” I asked, confused.

“Yes… but I never loved her”

“Oh yeah like that really makes a difference mate” Niall said.

“Niall shut up and let me explain would ya?!” He yelled at him. “I don’t know why I dated her, I didn’t even feel like myself when I was around her, it felt like I was under some sort of spell or something. Please, Lex, you have to believe me”

I looked at him slowly, his eyes told me he was telling the truth “Harry, I believe you. I mean how could I not, we have powers we shouldn’t have, it seems likely that this…Caroline would have them too, I don’t doubt that something was done to you to make you… you know”

HARRY’S POV

She believed me, I don’t know if I would have believed me if I was her.

I bowed my head in relief. “I’m so glad you believe me”

“Well, I trust you guys more than I’ve ever trusted anyone, and you’ve done nothing but prove you deserve my trust, of course I believe you” she said smiling slightly.

“Okay, anyway, we don’t even know if it’s for sure Caroline.” Zayn argued.

“Good point, wait, Lex, if I showed you a picture of her, do you think you’d be able to confirm it’s her?” I asked.

She nodded her head, and Louis ran out to grab his phone. He came back and had the picture of her already pulled up, he showed it to Lexi.

“That’s her…” she whispered.

“Okay, so it’s her, but why would Caroline want to hurt Lexi? She’s never even met her before!” Louis stated.

“I don’t know how she did it or why she did it, but the next time I see her, she’s dead.” I replied. “This is my fault! God damn it!” I punched my fist into the wall and it went right through.
