Chapter 31

LIAM’S POV

January 25…

I found Harry kneeling down on the cold snow, crying into his hands, and Lexi was no where insight.

I asked him what happened, and he didn’t give me a straight answer. The others came over and we finally got an answer out of him.

He was stuttering and mumbling things that made no sense, but then he said “I-I-I accused her of being a demon…I accused her of being like-like Caroline and she ran off. I don’t know why I said it. I didn’t mean it” he whispered.

“YOU WHAT?!” I yelled.

I was going to kill Harry, I swear if something happened to Lexi out there I would never ever forgive him. What was he possibly thinking?! How could he call Lexi a demon? Or compare her to Caroline? She was if anything an angel!

And now she was gone, disappeared somewhere into this stupid forest! She could be miles away for all we know, and even if she was close, we’d never find her. This forest was so dense, it’d be practically impossible.

I was about to beat the living day lights out of Harry, when Kayla stepped in front of us and put up her force field.

She was talking to Harry, and when she was done, Harry took off.

Kayla put the force field down and turned to face us, hands on her hips, eyes wide in fury.

“You listen up! Right now I don’t care what Harry did, you can deal with him later, but for now we have to find Lexi. Understand? I’ll go with you, Lou, now all of you, GO FIND MY SISTER!” she yelled at us.

She didn’t have to tell us twice. We ran off in opposite directions, I took off and zigzagged through the dense forest, I had to go a little bit slower than I liked, but it would have to do.

I must have searched for an hour, and then I finally saw her blonde hair shining in the shadows. She practically blended into the snow, she was laying down in the fetal position, hands covering her face.

“Lexi!” I gasped in relief. I kneeled down beside her and she moved her hands away from her face slowly.

“Liam?”

“Yeah, I’m right here” I scooped her up and sat her on my lap.

Her eyes were red and puffy, she had been crying, hard.

“Liam…you found me” she sobbed. She wrapped her arms around my neck and buried her face in my hoodie.

“I know, I’ll always find you. I promise” I cooed. She was freezing cold from laying out here in the snow for so long.

“C’mon, lets get you back home. You’re freezing” I said, standing up with her. I cradled her in my arms, holding her close to my chest.

“No! Please! No! I don’t want to go back!” she sobbed.

“I know, I’m sorry love. But he’s not there right now, he’s out looking for you, everyone is”

“I thought he loved me…How could he say those things to me?” she cried

“I don’t know Lexi, I just don’t know”

We were only about a mile away from the house, so I took my time and just walked back.

We made it back to the house about ten minutes later.

I walked in the house, and everyone was gone, except for Leo and Leila.
