LEXI'S POV

Caroline had flown off but we stayed silent for the next five minutes or so.

Leo was the first one to make a move. He only twitched his ear, but it was enough to snap us out of it.

Leila moved next, over to Kayla and Niall.

We all took deep breaths and started talking to each other in hushed whispers.

I stepped in front of Harry and hugged him tight. He set his chin on the top of my head and held me close. We pulled away and he hugged me to his side.

"Alright, now will someone PLEASE tell me what the hell just happened?!" Louis demanded.

"Yeah! What's all this about Caroline not having a heart beat?! Did she even have one in the first place?!" Harry yelled.

"Everyone! Please! Calm down!" Conrad yelled. The talking quieted down and everyone huddled around Conrad.

"So what happened back there?!" Niall asked.

"Blair, are you sure she didn't have a heartbeat?" Conrad asked.

"I'm positive" Blair answered.

"Bloody hell. We're screwed" Gunner muttered.

"What?! What happened to 'we can do this'?! Why did we run away?!" Zayn asked.

"Merle no longer has a heartbeat.." Conrad said slowly.

"Alright. I've heard that only about a billion times. WHAT DOES IT MEAN?!?!" Niall yelled.

"She can't kill her. Alexis can't kill Merle"

"What do you mean?" I asked, confused.

"She's had her heart removed. We can't kill her with out her heart...Her heart is the only way to kill her."

"How did she remove her heart?!" Liam questioned.

"She probably had help from another demon. Not having her heart may weaken her, but she'll still be extremely powerful, and she's basically immortal with out it" Conrad replied.

"Well where do we find her heart?" Harry asked.

"If I had to guess I'd say it's in the demons possession."

"Okay... where's the demon?"

"I don't exactly get much interaction with demons... Derrick, where do you think he is?" Conrad said.

"I-I ugh, I may know of one demon that may have the potential to do such a thing... And there's a good side... and a down side to this. The good side is that if we can find her heart, I don't think Lexi has to die-"

"AHHHHHHH!" Louis screamed.

Everyone turned to stare at him, giving him the usual look we did. The look that said 'What on earth are you screaming for?'.

The he ran to me, picked me up, spun me around and  planted wet, sloppy kisses all over my face.

"Ew! Louis!" I giggled.

Niall pried him off of me only to do the same thing.

Soon all the boys had gathered around me and were smothering me in hugs and kisses. They were acting EXACTLY like a bunch of excited, happy little puppies. Well everyone except for Harry.

I somehow managed to pull away from them and made my way to Harry. He was standing completely still and was staring off into space.

His face was completely blank... except for the tears that fell from his eyes and down his flushed cheeks.
