Getting down was way easier than getting up. This time they didn't need to assist the dogs, it seemed like the dogs weren't afraid to jump. Tom had been thinking that it would be another challenge but it wasn't. Getting them up there was hard enough. He would've thought he was going to have a harder time getting Juliet up, but in reality in was Sumo. He was a pretty big dog, and heavy for something that didn't eat a lot.

Sumo was the first one to jump, it wasn't planned or anything but he just ran right off which gave Tom a real scare. He flinched once witnessing his dog jump. It took all the strength in the for him not to yell out his name, they still had to try and keep the volume down. Once looking over the edge to see if his companion was okay, turns out there wasn't a scratch on him.

Following right after him was Daisy, after an attempt to tell her to stop, it was no use. At least that saved more time, but it left her feeling worried as well. Next it was Tom, who didn't think twice about jumping off onto the dried up grass. Juliet kindly handed him his backpack and dropped hers down as well. It took her a few seconds of hesitation before she actually pushed herself from off the edge. It hurt her ankle, but nothing she hadn't experienced before.

Tom considered himself very lucky, the revenants were going to the direction he already came from, so his journey wasn't put on a halt, he just had to continue further. The revenants were already out of the area, too distracted by the smoke in the distance. The ones without their legs were still close, they were just desperately trying to crawl, the sprinters however, they were long gone.

"Okay, this is a good place to stop." He told her as he turned around to face her. So with that, she paused her steps and looked at him with confusion. They've been walking for only a few minutes. "This is as far as you're following." Tom informed her with a stern voice, he had to be serious about this, he was being serious. Honestly, Juliet didn't really know what to say.

"Why though? We work pretty good together." She said with a nervous laugh, she honestly didn't have anything to do, no one to follow. Letting out a small sarcastic laugh, Tom shook his head. "No we don't. We just got trapped in there for two days, they were everywhere." He told her before he began to back away. "I got us out of there, got you further away from the revenants...this is as far as you're going."

"Thanks for the save before, I think I'm good, don't follow me because I might actually kill you." Death threats, never could get enough of them these days. They both got their fair share, but she felt that he was only bluffing about that. "We made it out alive though, right?" She questioned trying to make her point, "strength in numbers and all that crap..." Juliet added taking a few steps towards him.

Rolling his eyes he stopped taking steps back "I'm not here just to be out here, I already told you I'm looking for people. My people." Tom reminded. "Yeah but you're alone..." she said with a shrug of her shoulders, she didn't think he would get anything done with just himself and his dog. It's not that she wanted to help, she didn't really care about him finding anyone, but she had no one at the moment. "...I'm alone too."

"So?" He questioned with a small glare in his eyes. Looking around trying to find something to say, she stubbled over her words a bit. "T-that means that we can be alone, but together...if that makes sense." Looking at her with confusion, he tilted his head "well that doesn't make sense so..." She didn't know how that didn't make since, it made perfect sense in her mind. It was better to have people.

Holding on tightly to her bag, she approached him. "I'm looking for something too..." she confessed with a sigh. "Who are you looking for?" Tom questioned, he didn't know she was actively look for someone at the moment. "No one, just something...anything. You're going to find your people, you know where they are so that means they have to be behind walls." Juliet explained.

"I'm not specifically looking for anything in particular but...walls is a good place to start. I've never had a home...and I wanna have one." To Tom it seemed like she was happy to stay anywhere, just as long as it was safe, she probably didn't even care what the people there have done, who could blame her. "We can be like a little team, I help you find your people, make sure you don't die, and you help me find a place..."

"We're not a team." Tom told her with a bit of annoyance in his voice. "Well...I haven't tried to kill you, and you haven't tried to kill me. That's as close as people can get to a team." She explained, ignoring her comment, Tom lightly whistled to Sumo. "Come on boy." He said as he turned away from her. "I mean it, don't follow me." Tom warned, he honestly just thought she would bring him down, some people just weren't strong enough.

"Wait!" Juliet exclaimed jogging over to him, "what if we make a deal?" She suggestion, now that grabbed his attention, he turned right back around to face her. Raising his eyebrow, he gave a gesture to go on. "What if I help you? I get to tag along, if we manage to find any place with walls I'll be out of your hair, and I'll give you my supplies. All of them, the guns, knifes, ammo, food...everything."

"I won't be needing it once I'm with other people behind walls. Those things can help you find your people. Because, let's face it, you don't have shit in your backpack..." Juliet said not really knowing it was going to work or not, he was a very hard person to read.

She was getting onto something, if he did get her someplace on the way to Texas, then she wouldn't bother him, and he got to keep all her stuff. Who knows, maybe his family would need her stuff, he would definitely need it to make the long journey. All he had to do was suck it up and bring a along for a little bit, he hoped it wasn't too long though. "Okay, deal, but we aren't a team."
