Still the sound of the rain pouring heavily on the car and revenants growling and screaming as they surrounded the metal piece of junk never ceased to end. It seemed like it had been going on for hours, maybe days, but of course it wasn't that long. Tom couldn't remember if they had arrived two minutes ago or if it had been four hours. It was hard to tell. He was pretty sure Juliet was sleeping, she had passed out as soon as the door closed.

The two stayed like that, didn't even bother to move at all, they were both just shaken up. So Tom laid on his back, looking up at the ceiling of the car, and occasionally the windows, watching rain and rotting corpses cover every square inch. Juliet stayed where she had fallen, right on top of him. Her head resting in the crook of his neck, right below his ear, he could even still hear her breathing. Her hands squished up,
folding against her chest and his as well.

Normally Tom would've pushed her off by now, but he figured the two had been running for so long, they just needed a break. Right now he didn't feel sore but he know once he got out of the car, he would feel everything. Tom thought he would've been more uncomfortable right now, but he wasn't, he didn't mind, she had almost died. He thought, for a second that she was a goner for sure, but he didn't let go. He figured he knew her long enough not to feed her to the pack of revenants.

Even though it would've been easy, he couldn't cower away like that, only because it would be throwing away all the days that she was here, and she had saved him as well. Although he wondered what it would be like if they had taken her. He wasn't wondering in the sense of being freed from the deal with her, but he wondered if he would really be sad. He thought for a moment, and it occurred to him that if that did happen, he would miss her dearly.

Shaking those thoughts from his head, he shifted a little and closed his eyes. Even though the noise was the thing keeping him awake, his heavy eyes dropped closed, sending him into sleep fairly quickly. It felt really good just to rest right now, every rest was better when you had been working all day. Even though to him it felt like a long sleep, when he woke up it was still the same old thing outside, the sun wasn't even close to being up yet.

But, someone else was up as well. "Finally..." Tom commented as Juliet lifted her head up to look around, it took her a moment to remember what had happened. Slowly she began to get up, Tom assisted her, sitting up in the seat and gently trying to help her off. "How long have we been in here?" She questioned quietly siting down on the left side, and him on the right. "Couple hours, you passed out after we got in." He informed with a long sigh. Grabbing her ankle she winced in pain.

"Let me see it." He told her, gesturing for her to lift her leg up, she carefully she did just that. Seeing that she had some duck tape wrapped around her ankle once he had taken off her boot, he let out a chuckle and looked over at her. "...I saw you do it once." Juliet explained, that did make a lot of sense. "I can't stand this noise." She commented once it got too quiet between them. "I know, I can't either." Tom confessed as he unraveled the three layers of the tape.
