"Wait! McKay! What are you doing?" She asked in a panic as he quickly ditched his bags and began to climb the rusty metal wall, all she did was look up at him, blocking the sun from her eyes. Sumo and Daisy going on their two back legs time to time just to know what the fuss was all about. Letting out a small grunt from holding himself up, he put one leg over, then a second, his face in deep concentration, he didn't want to fall. Granted, it wasn't a long drop, but he was pretty sure he wouldn't enjoy that not matter the height.
Once he finally made it over, feet hitting the floor, his essential plan was to open the gate for the three of them, but once he saw what was behind it, he just stood in awe. "McKay! You don't know what's back there!" Juliet warned, just anticipating for him to finally answer her. Everywhere he looked, there was clothes, bags, shoes, basically everything on the floor, as if it was all tossed in a hurry, not to mention trash all scattered about the large area. Some materials with blood on them, some just dusty and old. The buildings looked a bit torn up, and very empty.
The only thing that looked somewhat clean was the skyscrapers, they were too tall to be torn down or very messed up. Snapping back to reality, he looked up at the sky with his teary eyes, after he wiped his eyes before the tears could actually fall down he turn around, wiping his face again quickly before going to metal gate. The lock that held it together was broken on the floor, so all he had to do the pull the latch and roll it to the side. As he did so, the sound of rusty metal rubbing against each other filled the atmosphere. So much that is created an echo, making the two cringe.
That definitely wasn't a good idea, Juliet could just feel it, but she didn't want to scold them at the moment. "Come on, let's look around, there has to be something." Tom ordered once he saw her from the other side. Of course she didn't protest, but she was very hesitant on stepping inside the once standing community. Instead of taking out her usual bow and arrow, she look out her revolver, just to be more safe. Looking around, it didn't look like any one was around, might as well see a tumbleweed blowing by. "This place is huge...are you sure you want to check everywhere?"
"Well we know no ones down here. Our safest bet is in the skyscrapers." He said pointing to a few, making her look up, she's never seen any up close before. Then just as he was looking around, something else caught his eye. It was a huge map of the place, with its locations from before, but written over to give off their new purpose. "There's a medical collage down Main Street, they were using it as a hospital or something. We should check there first." He said thinking that would be the best choice, if people were hurt, then they would be there hiding, and getting some treatment.
"Alright..." the girl said with a small nod, but everything about this place was giving her a horrible feeling in the pit of her stomach. As soon as she agreed, the boy began walking, not even giving Juliet the heads up, but she quickly hurried to his side with Daisy and Sumo. "McKay we have to be quiet, this is a big place, who knows what's here." She warned as she looked around very carefully. "It should be clean, the gate was closed when we got here." He reassured her, not wanting to think about the possibility's of Revenants making there way inside these walls.
