Bc it's Tom's Birthday💘

Juliet couldn't sleep, not at all, not even after she had closed her eyes for maybe an hour or so. She only did that so Tom wouldn't say anything and think she was sleeping as well. He fell asleep rather quickly, maybe in a few minutes or so, he was very tired so he had no problem knocking out. He looked surprisingly peaceful and calm when he slept, as did almost everyone, but it was weird for her to see it on someone like him.

He was just so aware, and cautions all the time, he had the right to be, everyone was like that these days. But it seemed that Tom always had a glare in his eyes, even when nothing was happening. So it was nice to see him like this. She'd seen it before, she had to keep watch every nice just like he did. Daisy was resting well too, Tom and Juliet weren't the only ones who were walking endlessly on their feet for two days.

Although while Daisy was asleep, Sumo was awake, or at least he just woken up. Seeing that Juliet was awake he just stared at her very dazed and confused. Sitting up completely from her once laid down position, she let out a small chuckle looking at Sumo. The German shepherd was just too cute for his own good. Along this that chuckle came a smile, seeing this, the dog wagged his tail making his way towards her.

It was almost as if he could sense her welcoming attitude towards him, she knew dogs could sense this like when people were sad or angry, they were very observant creatures. And Sumo definitely felt when he was needed and when he wasn't, in this case her small happiness upon seeing him drew him to respond back. "Hi..." she whispered faintly, a fake look of shock on her face as she grabbed his face in between her hands.

Like a grandmother pinching the faces her small grandchildren. Juliet made sure to scratch behind his ears, giving him a kiss in the nose. She found it weird how feelings developed between a human and and dog, compared with a human and another human were totally different. At this point, she felt that it was safe to say that she loved Sumo just like how she loved Daisy.

He was like part of her own little family now, before it was just her and the Rottweiler, but she didn't mind. Juliet found it easy to love Sumo and Daisy, she found it easy to love dogs and animals—well animals that didn't attack her. But she felt that it was much harder to love a human, she hadn't really gotten to that point yet, not with anyone. She didn't know her parents, and when the people that did take care of her were like teachers or mentors of some sorts.

So really the only thing she has ever loved was Daisy, and now Sumo, and she was happy to expand the companionship growing between them. Pulling her out of her deep and concentrated thoughts, she heard a loud noise from outside. It was nothing too crazy, just the sound of something being knocked down. It was enough to have both Sumo and Juliet's head snap to the direction of the door.
