KABANATA LXXXI
Third Person's POV
Mabilis nilang iniikot ang tingin sa paligid at napatigil ng makita sila Morana na ilang metro lamang ang layo sa direksyon ni Everly. Sobrang bilis ng pangyayari matapos nitong magpakawala ng atake sa direksyon ni Everly na kaagad nakakuha ng atensyon nito.
"Morana!" Sigaw ni Enora matapos mapagtanto ang binabalak nito.
She's baiting herself, between Freda and Everly.
"We should stop her!" Sigaw ni Runa ngunit mabilis itong hinawakan ni Enora upang pigilan. Kita niya ang pagtaas ng palad ni Everly sa direksyon nila Freda, hindi na nito nakikilala si Morana, ang atensyon nito ay nakatutok lamang kay Freda na noon ay pilit kumakawala sa pagkakahawak ni Morana.
Ngunit mas tumindi ang pagkakakapit ni Morana dito. Hindi niya ito bibigyan ng pagkakataon na makatakas kahit pa kapalit niyon ay kanyang buhay. Panahon na din upang makapagpahinga siya at hayaan si Runa na magpatuloy sa kanyang nasimulan.
She had faith that Runa would become the greatest leader the good coven had ever known. Even upon seeing Runa's lifeless body, she believed that despite being just a child, Runa was destined for greatness that she hadn't yet achieved.
"Go on, Everly, kill her." As soon as Morana said the word "kill," Everly's eyes flared with intensified rage. She was reminded of her mission—to eliminate them all.
Without hesitation, Everly unleashed her most powerful spell to date. A colossal symbol of Weresfia appeared above Morana and Freda, glowing a menacing shade of purple as electricity crackled around them. The clash triggered a massive explosion that expanded several meters, forcing Enora and the others to teleport further away from the scene.
Desperation took over Freda as she struggled to free herself from Morana's grasp.
"YOU DUMB B*TCH! LET GO!" Halos lumabas na ang ugat sa leeg nito dahil doon, ngunit mas lumawak lang ang ngisi ni Morana. Natutuwa siyang makita sa ganoong estado si Freda.
Freda anticipated what was coming and had no other option. She shed her human form and began transforming into her demon state. She managed to free herself from Morana's grip by digging her claws into the woman's chest and extracting her heart.
Sunod-sunod na napa ubo ng dugo si Morana dahil doon. Ngunit hindi naalis ang ngisi sa kanyang labi. Dahil alam niya na huli na ang lahat. Kahit anong gawin nito ay hindi na ito makakatakas sa atakeng iyon.
Everly's attack reached its peak, and it wasn't long before a surge of light energy hurtled towards Freda and Morana.
"Lady Freda!" Dair, along with Selke and Salem, shouted as they saw the energy strike on Freda. In a desperate move, the three of them teleported close to the attack and, using their remaining strength, channeled it into Freda's demon form, which was struggling to create a barrier against the onslaught.
"No, no, you can't do that." Mahigpit na naikuyom ni Runa ang palad dahil sa biglaang pagsulpot ng tatlong demonyong iyon at umaktong tinutulungan si Freda.
"Runa!" Sigaw na lamang ni Enora ng hindi niya na napigilan ang dalaga sa paglapit.
Runa's sole focus was on eliminating the demons. She retrieved a knife from behind her, one she had crafted specifically for this purpose. She hadn't had the chance to use it until now due to being overwhelmed by the chaos of the battle.
