"Com'on, Hazel, you can choose better. That one is very boring for you."

"I don't want to drag attention. I don't even want to go." She was pouting looking at so many dresses and formal skirts in the most expensive shop on the district.

"Not with that attitude." Hange took a dress from the section she was on. "I think this goes perfectly for you." Unfolding the dress in front of Hazel, she closed an eye in order to imagine how she would look with it. "This dress says Hazel all over."

Hazel approached her to see it more closely. It was a pale green, the collar was in a heart shape and the straps fell slightly over the shoulders, it seem adjusted on the torso, over the waist was a ribbon sand color and the rest of the dress fell to the floor like waterfall with the back a little longer. "Okay, maybe you convinced me." Hazel took the dress from her and give another to her in return. "Try on this."

Hazel went to the fitting rooms that were in the back on the shop before Hange complained about the dress she chose for her, a young lady was there in case they needed help. When she was changed, she let herself out and the lady helped her to button up the back.

Making her way to a little stand in front of a large mirror, looked at herself. Her friend was right, it fitted perfectly on her, the color suited her skin, the straps falling over the side of her shoulders let the freckles show, the heart shape of the collar wasn't too wide to let show a lot of her breasts, and the tighten torso part made her body looked fit.

"Hange, are you okay?" Hazel heard the panting in the fitting room and a little knock. Pulling the curtain, Hange got out scruffy and almost falling but the lady caught her.

"Damn, girl, you look astonishing." Hange's eyes sparkled watching her. She straighten up so the shop lady could helped her to button the dress. "I think this it's not for me." She was looking at the floor ashamed that she wouldn't look like her friend.

Hazel walked up to her noticing her trouble. "Han, chin up, babe." She guided her to the mirror and over the stand. "Look at you. You look like a rebel high class lady. Very sexy, if you ask me." The dress was dark with thin straps and the neckline went to her chest contouring her breasts not very exaggerated, from the waist down the skirt was full of ruffles, the skirt was opened on the side showing a bit of leg and giving her more comfort for walk. "I might go with you as a date and not with shorty." Hazel was behind her admiring how her friend look.

"He might kill me, but it would worth it."

After buying the dresses for the peculiar and fancy party they would attend the day after, they went out the shop without finding the cart, so they tried another couple shops.

"Look, Han. This shirt it's perfect for you. Nerdy and casual, and the fabric seems to be resistant, besides its your favorite color." Hazel showed her a yellow buttoned shirt. Hange held the shirt close to her heart, showing she really liked it.

She went all over the shop taking clothes for everyone she could thought about. "One for Erwin, one for Miche and a lotion, this blouse could make Miche fall for Nanaba if she wears it." Hazel talked to herself as picking every item.

"Aren't you forgetting someone?" Han was behind her helping carrying the clothes.

"No, I don't think so. I already pick something for Levi." With her finger she started counting the people she had already picked up something for. "I already counted them all."

"I mean you. You haven't picked up something for you."

"What for? I won't need anything for long." Hazel said it without concerning about what efect her words would have in her friend. She realized what she said and looked at Hange who was with a mortified face. "Han...I."

"You're right, Hazel. Sorry." Han walked in silence and dropped the things on the counter to the cashier, then walked out without saying anything.

Hazel felt guilty and went to pay so she could chase Hange at the street. When she was out, looking in every direction, Hael caught sight of Hange at the corner talking to Moblit, who was driving the cart.

"We are ready to leave." Hange sounded a bit chocked, with a knot in her throat. She didn't even turned to see Hazel.

Following her friend into the cabin of the cart, it start its way back to the headquarters. Hange was in silence, looking out the window and she gave her a few minutes to calm down before she spoke. "Do you want to talk about this?" Hazel tried to keep her voice serene and soft. Hange just shook her head.

Hazel left her seat in front of her friend to sit beside her. Hange stopped looking outside and faced her with two traces of tears that had fallen over her cheeks. With both hands, Hazel caressed her, wiping the traces. "You'll be okay, because you are the strongest independent woman the world will ever met. You are destined to be greater than you are right now. Don't let my absence stop you, baby, I would like to see you shinning bright."

Hazel brought her face closer to Hange's to look her in the eyes, then planted a kiss between her brows. Her head fell forward to the crook of Hazel's neck and started to cry in silence. "I'm gonna miss you." To settle her down, Hazel stroke her hair for a long time, also with tears streaming down quietly.

When both were more calmed, they were eating snacks that Moblit had bought them along with the great amount of artefacts that Hange had requested him to gather while they were shopping.

"Is everything for your traps?"

"Yep. I need to figure out how to put some resistance, so the titans couldn't liberate themselves."

"It will work, you'll see. Just don't stop trying."

The cart stopped abruptly shaking them, the cart's door opened seconds after. "You're late! You were supposed to be here by midday, shitty glasses." Levi was furious at the door screaming and Hange only laughed at him.

"Don't be so short tempered, shorty." She laughed even more, making Hazel giggle a bit. "Help your girlfriend with her shopping." She tossed him the bags making him step backward stumbling a bit.

Hazel got out after her friend, the sun was almost setting and there were just a few cadets finishing their training. She approached Levi, who was still trying to grab the bags in his arms without them to fall. Hazel took a pair of the smallest to help him, then he turned to face her with a scowl, but she ignored it when she saw the yellow shirt that she had brought for Hange slipping out a bag and took it. "Hange, think fast." Hange turned and caught the shirt in the air smiling.

"I thought you would be happier." She approached to take his hand and walked in the building. "I am, Its just... I got worried." He don't even turned to see her. Opening the door from the office, they let the things on the couch. "What's all this?"

"Gifts." She set apart the thing she would give to the others leaving their things for the last.

"Who's this dress for?" He lifted the elegant green dress, taking it with delicacy from the straps and a confused look.

"Mine." She lifted a piece of white silk, a black formal blazer and a new white shirt. "And this are yours. We will look amazing."

"For what?" He arched his brow still puzzled, then he get it. "No!" He turned and walked to the desk after leaving the dress in the couch again. "No way."

"Yes. We will talk about it after I deliver this." She wasn't angry, she already preview that he would be against the idea of going to the party.

Hazeltook the gifts and left the office. After a few minutes he walked back to thecouch looking at both outfits and imagined her wearing the dress and him by herside. He sighed defeated, she will convince him without trying.
