XX: Ladies night

The conversation between the ladies were comfortable after some drinks, Hazel's gloominess fade from hanging with the girls.

"I'm going to regret this tomorrow at training." Nanaba was with her elbows at the table and her head hanging from her hands feeling dizzy from the wine. "I hope Miche had a lot drinks too."

"Speaking of..." Hange was talking in a loud voice already drunk, as always she had drank really fast. "What's the deal between you two?"

Nanaba quickly putted her hands over Hange's mouth to shut her, and the others just laughed. "What do you mean with that, silly? He's my captain." All the girls burster of laugh together while she blushed.

"You have a thing for him and he also for you. He has tell that you have the nicest smell of all."

"And that it's a big thing coming from Miche, the greatest smeller." Riko stated before all laughed again.

"Shut up, he's going to hear you, group of freaks. At least I don't have a crush on Shadis." She looked at Hange who finally shut her mouth.

"It's just a platonic crush."

"And what about you and the new guy, Hazel? You have been looking at him the whole evening." Anka said with mischievous look.

"They were lovers!" Hange started to scream again, this time Hazel was the one who throwed her hands over Hange to shut her up and the rest gasped in surprise. The whole room turned their heads to the ladies' table.

"Fuck, Han."

The staring gaze of everyone in the room make her nervous, but they got back to their own conversation after a few seconds.

After teasing each other for who know how much and keep on laughing, Premier Zachary cleared his throat hard enough to everyone in the room listened. Even his face was serious, his voice tripped once in a while in his speech by the alcohol.

"Dear soldiers... tonight" hiccupped and rose his arms in the air," we say good bye to our comrade, General Keith Shadis, as the Commander of the scouts, he will take the position as the new General of the training corps.." Another hiccup, he thrown an arm over his shoulder. "I ask you all to remember the spirit and determination our man showed while performing his best effort. An applause please, to this brave soldier."

The room was filled with noise, every soldier, even if they weren't from the legion, was clapping until the Premier started to speak again.

"And now for the role of Commander of the Survey Corps, I'm glad to announce," throwing his other arm over his shoulder and bring him closer. "Commander Erwin Smith! The one who has performed and demonstrated the capacity to be the new one leading the legion."

The old man laughed finishing his speech, everyone screamed joyfully. Erwin still serious accepted the congratulations of the higher ups, shaking some hands of soldiers who approached him. By his side, Nile was with a bit disgusted, Levi with a boring face drinking from his glass and Miche, who was the happiest man in the world hugging Erwin with one arm.

The group of ladies stayed in their table cheering from afar and clapping to both, Shadis and Erwin.

"Oh, what a shame. Hange you will have to be a recruit again to see Shadis." Nanaba said laughing uncontrollably.

"Or maybe... I'll have to develop another crush." Hange was blushing, but with the alcohol in her system she was already reddish from her cheeks. "What about if I choose... Miche." They faced challenging each other.

"You wouldn't dare."

Hange let out a laugh taking off his serious face. "No, I wouldn't." She kept on laughing until she fell to the ground in her back. "All yours."

Moblit came preoccupied for his Leader who was clearly drunk. "Time to sleep, Hange."

"Good idea, I'll help you."

Both helped Hange to stand, each one with one of her arms over their shoulders.

"Good night, girls. Let's do this again soon." Hange dismissed herself in loud voice and walked out the mess hall with the other two. After a few feet away from her quarter she tried to walk by herself and tripped in her try. "Damn it."

"Hey, take it easy." Moblit picked her up the floor and carried her like a princess in his arms while she fell asleep.

Hazel opened the door of the office and then the room one, making easy to Moblit to let her in the bed.

"Thanks, buddy. I'll take it from here."

Hazel changed her clothes and left her snoring in her bed making sure she was in good position to not broncho aspirated herself for the excess of alcohol. She closed the door to make her way to her own room, took her clothes off and put on her pajama ready to get in bed. A knock in the door interrupted her before she laid down. With a sigh she walked to her office door and before opening it she asked who was it.

"It's... It's me." The voice was stuttering with nervousness.
