Dinner passed by a little uncomfortable for the tension between Levi and Erwin. Hazel had to squeeze Levi's thigh under the table not letting him talk any further in order to prevent an argue. He just grunted looking displeased at her, then started eating. Hange, Nanaba and her were the only ones talking, giving a little life to the table.

"So it's settle then, tomorrow's evening you're mine. Did you heard it, shorty?" The three were walking back to each one rooms. Hange yawned before waving them goodbye.

"Whatever, four eyes." He rolled his eyes to her, before she disappeared into her office. He threw his arm over Hazel's shoulder bringing her closer and she wrapped her arm around his waist kept on walking. She made a turn in another direction making him stop. "Where are you going?"

"To your quarters." He was puzzled, and she could tell. She pulled him by the hand to the dorms door.

He gulped thinking she won't allow him to stay with her anymore, starting to feel the fear again from the upcoming nightmares. "Do I did something wrong?"

"What? No, dummy. Go pack your things, maybe it's time for you to move in with me officially." She smiled at him and saw the relief in his eyes. She caressed his cheek. "I'll wait here."

Levi breathed again, approached her and kissed the tip of her nose then went inside to gather his belongings. She was against the wall across the door when two figures were making their way through the hall. She recognized them when they approached, both startled when caught sight of her.

"Captain!" Roger saluted her immediately a bit tense and Rose reluctantly copied her friend.

"Relax, Rog." She giggled to eased the tension, he dropped his hand from the salute and Rose kept her pissed face. "Don't pay attention to me, just kept doing your things."

"No, Captain is there something I could help you with?"

"She said, she's fine." Her tone was arrogant and sour. "Just go to sleep."

Levi got out the room with a bag with his few things and looked up at the three with boring face.

"Hey, buddy." Roger greeted him with a kind face looking at the bag. "Going somewhere?" He got the situation and looked shortly to Hazel then to Levi again. "Well, it was a pleasure being your roommate." Rose was pouting beside Roger not saying anything.

"Thanks, mate." Levi and him shook hands before taking hold of Hazel's hand in order to leave.

"Goodnight, soldiers." Hazel dismissed them with a smile, knowing it would piss Rose even more.

When they arrived, now the room of both, Levi went to shower like he had said and changed his clothes while she finished the reports. A cup of tea waited for him at the desk when he got out to the office, she was now at the couch reading the squad leader's reports from today.

"I suggest you to start making your reports." She didn't even turned to see him, she was laying on her side supporting her weight in her elbow and a page in hand, in her other hand her cup of tea.

Taking seat in her desk, he started writing down his impression from the cadets on today's training. It took him more time than he thought but his mind was too busy that he didn't noticed that Hazel had fall asleep in the couch reading the reports, with one still in her hand. She was lightly snoring, a fact which he found it odd, she had never did. He stayed in the chair looking at how peaceful she was resting.

The snores stopped for seconds, but her breathing too. He was alert and after a few seconds, she abruptly waked, sitting and taking her hand to her chest and took a deep breathe. Her skin was a bit pale and cold with a bit sweat in her forehead. Levi ran to her side scared by her reaction. He felt how altered she was and in order to help her to ease, he brought her closer to him, letting her head rest against his chest and stroke her hair. "Everything is fine, take a deep breath."

She eased hearing his voice and after a minute, her breathing and heart rate restored. "I felt like I was dying."

"Don't say that, brat." He felt a hole in his guts and held her tighter kissing the top of her head. "Let's go to bed." She nodded and went to the room guided by him after he turned off the lights.

They laid down under the covers comfortably cuddling, he was playing with her hair in the meantime she recovered some warm. "Thank you for worrying." She lifted up her face to look at him.

"I'd do anything for you, Haze." He placed his forehead against hers closing his eyes.

"You promise?" His response was a faint nodded meaning he was falling asleep.

She stayed looking at his fine features, very calmed while he was sleeping. A couple tears fell from her eyes knowing the end was coming. She had been pretending so hard that everything was fine, but with every day that passed, she felt tired and like her body was heavier. This new episode couldn't mean good news.

Hazel was determined to get advantage of the time with her friends, training the soldiers, get new info about titans and humanity and of course, to love Levi. She needed to let everything in order for when the time came.

The week went fast, everyone improving their training and reviewing the formation for the expedition. The captains were at Erwin's office at the meeting to make the route they would follow. Everyone agreed to take the same last path but they will evade the forest so they would get further this time. Erwin dismissed them all but Hazel, who was coughing in her seat.

She finally stopped coughing. "It's just a cold." She easily lied to him.

"I thought we had accorded that you would maintained me informed about your health. It doesn't look like a cold. You can fool the others but not me, so tell me." He sat sterned in his desk and she followed him taking seat in front looking to the floor, knowing Erwin has the power of seeing through her.

"I..." She broke in tears saying it out loud for the first time. "I feel so tired all the time, all I want do is sleep." Her hands covered her face, then she felt Ewin's hand over her shoulder, he had approached siting in the chair next to her to comfort her. "There are days which I feel fine, but there are others that even pretend that I'm okay it's impossible. I've been puking a lot, now I snore, I wake in the middle of the night without air, the palpitations are more frequently, I feel dizzy, and I tried to take the meds twice a day but there's no change."

Erwin remained silent while she spoke to him and hugged her when she finished. "Why don't you go to Dr. Jaeger? He might have something to help you."

"He already gave me the max dose of meds, there's nothing else. I'm scared, I know what he will say." Hazel was trying to regain her posture.

"You know I can't let you go, right? This could be the death out of you." He was serious but his eyes showed concern for her.

"Erwin... this could be my last expedition, you have to let me go as my last request." She took his hands pleading. "I need to lead my people and be next to you, my friends."

Erwin knew that it was best for her to stay without risking even more her life out the walls, after a hard time Hazel managed to convince him to let her go and kept this as a secret. "I want to start settling things around."

"It's hard to believe you are going to leave." Erwin had a sad expression over his face, one that she had never seen, like a face Declan would show."What do you have in mind?"
