She spent a while alone there, looking out the window and then she heard the light crack of the dorm door, she turned her head and saw Levi standing there rubbing his face with one hand still drowsy. "What are you doing?" He said after a yawn and started to approached her, he set apart one of her legs allowing him to sit on the chair facing her and placed it again in a way he was between both legs, then leaned to the front placing his head on her lap as a pillow and embraced her from the hips.

Hazel smiled looking how cute he was and began to play with his hair. "I needed to stretch out."

"Hazel, did I ever told you what was the best thing that have ever happened to me?"

"I don't think you had."

"Once, I was saved by an angel."

"Why didn't you told me sooner?" She took him by the face to look at it straight and he smiled to her, then arranged it again on her lap.

"It was a long time ago, I was half death in a dirty alley when this angel found me. She took me in without asking anything in exchange and changed my life. I fell in love at first sight with her eyes and smile, but it took me a long time to accepted it." He felt teardrops on the top of his head followed by a kiss. "My words aren't enough to show how grateful I am."

During a higher ups meeting, they were talking about the next expedition plans and at the end, Hazel topic came up.

With a long sigh full of concern, Ewin asked the tired and neutral captain. "How is she doing? I've barely seen her lately."

Levi was crossed arms and legs trying to focus in the conversation and when Erwin asked, he regained his attention. "She's getting worst every day that pass." He sighed too. "Even though she's trying, her body is not cooperating. She barely sleeps, the cramps hurts her like hell, she throws up everything she eat, she's getting skinnier, she can't even walk without getting out of breathe. She denies to see this miracle maker Dr. Grisha, keep on telling that he can't do anymore for her, she just wants to stay in the chamber." His eye bags didn't lie, he was exhausted too.

Levi spent all the time he could with her, trying to made her feel comfortable and helping her when an episode happens. She didn't want to disturb him anymore so she preferred to do nothing in order to prevent some kind of adverse effect. She would spent her time in bed or in the couch reading or making strategic plans that could be use in later expeditions or in trainings. Also she have made her decision, at least the nightmares had disappeared.

"I gave her the choice to leave to Shingashina, I thought that there she maybe felt at home and they could take care of her. I also told her I would stay with her while the expedition take place, but she refused and got mad, screamed at me and she almost fainted. I don't know what else to do."

While Levi explained all what she have pass through these days, the faces of everyone changed into a low and sad one. Hange was sobbing in silence hearing her friend was in her end phase, Nanaba stood to hugged tearing as well. Miche had to cover his eyes with his palm so no one could see he was crying. Captain Michael, who knew how bad she was because he visit her often to ask her for an advices for the training and give her the reports, drowned on his seat getting to know she was worse than she pretended.

Erwin came closer to Levi and clenched his shoulder trying to empathize. "I will talk to her, if you let me, of course." Levi nodded. Deep inside he knew that Erwin would came to an agreement with her. "Okay, we're finish."

"Hey, shorty." Hange wiped her tears and tried to sound cheerful. "You look dreadful, let's get dinner while Mr. eye brows speaks with her."

Every one, except for Erwin, went to the mess hall. Knocking on the door, he waited for her to respond and allow him to pass in. He went in and she was sat at the couch, with her legs over it and covered with a blanket, a journal in hand while writing something. He made his way to the couch sitting placing her legs over his lap and put his arm above the backrest, never taking his serene face trying not to worry her. Of course he was scare by the way she looked: pale, eyebags, skin to the bone and a tired appearance, but her smile was still the same.
