XV: Real Fight

The last day of training before the expedition come, some squads were in combat training at the field. Leaders were watching the matches between the cadets. Everyone were doing fine except for one, the cadet was collapsed at the floor gasping by the quickly attack Levi gave him. He was looking at the other at the floor with no interest in his face, rather bored.

"Jasper, are you alright?" Hazel had approach the cadet to help him stand along with Flagon, who looked pissed at Levi. Jasper was still regaining his breathe.

"Cadet, this is just a practice." His leader said exasperated.

"Is not my fault he doesn't know how to give a real fight" he crossed his arms showing he didn't care about what he have done.

While the two leaders helped the poor Jasper get up, Flagon reached to his limits. "What did you said?" The rest of the people were gathering around.

"You heard him, he wants a real fight." Hazel smirked and started to take off her jacket.

"Hazel..." various voices said at the same time, Flagon and Farlan, who was now near them, tried to stopped her.

"Everyone, shut up." she gave her jacket to Hange who was beside her amused for what it was coming.

"Are you sure?" Levi told her, getting in position.

With the smirk still in her face she went fast enough forward trying to connect a directly punch into his face which he avoid. At first she was the only one throwing punches, Levi didn't want to hurt her. "I thought you were the one who wanted a real fight. Just start already."

Some people surrounding them started giggling making him irritated. He throwed a speedy kick aiming the side of her trunk. She catched his leg the second it came in contact with her body, with a low grunt for the pain she twisted the limb in the air making him go to the floor upside down. She regained her breathe while he got up getting rid of the dirt on his shirt.

Hazel started to feel a suddenly rage for him, the same memory which made her cry and cry for years give her a boost. She wasn't sad anymore by the fact he broke her heart, she felt the need to discharged her emotions right there by kicking his ass.

"Have you forget who teach you how to fight?"

Both were struggling with each other, after several punches and kicks, they were gasping. A familiar feeling hit Hazel, her heart rate was already altered by the great effort it took to fight him, but at his question her thoughts went to the days they trained, also she thought of her brother who teach her before. A weird pain in her chest bring her attention to her body and noticed she started to feel her fingertips numb.

A heart attack now? Fuck, fuck, fuck. I need to end this now.

She steadied her breath and took the first opportunity. Levi thrown a punch to her stomach, she grabbed his arm and made a lock behind his back and kicked him hard to take him to the ground. Fast enough, she sat above him without releasing him.

She didn't move, her face was low, the locks of hair were covering it and the few tears which were rolling through her cheeks. She was concentrated in her breathing and heart rate not bothering for the people cheering at her.

Levi was struggling below her, the arm lock was still tough but he stopped as he felt her tears in his back. He tried to see her face but it was hard while being with his body facing the ground. "Haze?" His voice make her realized she was still there.

"Train is over" she screamed to the cadets. She finally release Levi and wiped her face. She stood and went straight to Hange and whisper in her ear. "I need my meds."

Hange change her mood immediately and quickly went to the main building pushing away every person in her way.

At last was only Hazel, Flagon and the three friends watching the other cadets leave to the main building for dinner. She couldn't pretend anymore and fell to her knees unlocking the straps across her chest, then let her hands in the ground trying to gain more air.

Levi ran and kneeled in front to take her face with delicacy, she met his concerned eyes. Finally she get to look close at his eyes after so long, and it felt just like before, it was like the time hasn't passed and they were young again. She felt relieved, the numb that were spreading through her body was disappearing and her heart rate and breathing were calm again. She put her hand over Levi's one that was in her cheek and smiled tenderly. The rage from the fight was long gone.

It has being a long time he was waiting to see that smile he loved so much. "Brat, why you have to be so stubborn?" His eyes was still concerned but shinning from the sight of her.

Hazel, extended her arm to Flagon who reached her side seconds after and pulled her to her feet.

"We are going to discuss your punishment after the expedition, cadet." She said with a smirk before let Flagon carry her in his back to the main building, she was feeling better but still weak.

"You have to be kidding me." He grunted with his fists aside.

"She's amazing, she beat you." Isabel scream behind him giving little jumps from the excitement. Furlan was beside her with his hand over his face in disappointed.
