Hazel rode her way to Mitras thinking hopefully she will meet her friends by tomorrow. Trying to concentrate in her own mission she made it to the Court and ask to see Premier Zachary.

She was escorted by a soldier into a large office, took a seat in the long center table and sipped the tea a maid offered to her. Before the Premier entered his office, several minutes had pass, she feel incredibly anxious, while she was in the most secure city within the walls, all her friends were fighting outside.

Noticing the presence of the Premier along the other two Commandants of the branches of the Military, she stood from her seat and salute them. The two old men were cheery to see her not as the Military Police Commander, Nile Dawk, with his displeased face.

"Oh, darling, always a pleasure to see you." Commander Pyxis sit across from her and got distracted by the maid who came to offer him a drink, while the Primer was leaving his coat in the wardrobe beside the large window that face the beautiful city, Nile took the chair next to her.

"This two old me are already drunk." That was the reason he was more irritated than normal. "Why aren't you in the expedition?"

"Erwin's orders. Believe me, I want to be there."

"Captain, what brings you here?" The premier approach and took his seat in the table header. "I dare to think this is an important matter. I was surprise and relieved to hear you were here, you save us from the meeting with the nobility."

"Indeed, sir. I was sent by Captain Erwin to deliver this document." She took it out from her jacket and gave it to him. "This is the proof that Nicholas Lovof is involve in the riot to dissolve the Survey Corps in order to take the fund of the Lang Company and other crimes."

"How did Erwin got this? Impossible." Nile was the only one astonished.

The long pause while the Premier read the document, made Hazel starting to doubt, her palms were sweating but then he laugh. "Finally! He will not escape from my torture." He kept laughing and give the document to Pyxis. "I've been waiting for this a long time, I'm going to enjoy this."

Suddenly, Pyxis started to laugh too, leaving the document in the table so Nile finally got to read it.

"This bastard will paid for his crimes and no one will stop us." Saying this, the Premier made a call on the phone.

"I can't believe Erwin always get what he wants. The military higher ups have wanted to punish this man for a long time, everyone knows his crimes but there was no proof until now." Nile was arms crossed trying to figure out how Erwin accomplished to get the file. "No wonder he will be promoted soon."

"You know him better than me, Commander. He would do anything to fulfill his goal."

"I set the communicate, the military police will go for him right now. Commander Dawk, will you make us the pleasure to bring the culprit to the court? I want to end this fast."

"Huh, right away, sir." Nile stood and salute the Premier before leaving the office.

"Captain, Hazel, will you join us? I'm sure Erwin will want to hear the news from you."

Hazel had to endured the company of the old men until the police get to arrest Lovof and the whole staff of the court reunite. Now she understood why Nile was insufferable all the time, the old ones were nuts but when the time for the trial came they shifted into a serious mood.

Lovof was in the middle of the court room chained to a metal post while the Premier read the document to the people.

Erwin had foresaw that he would try to incriminate the underground thugs but Hazel gave her statement. "The 'underground thugs', as the accused one referred to them, has shown proper behavior within the training, amazing skills and the fact that they are participating in the ongoing expedition, make it clear they are loyal soldiers to our cause."

After hours he was found culprit before everyone and doomed to life imprisonment.

"Impressive talk you made there." She walked out the court room along with Nile. "It's already late, you're not thinking on leaving right?"

"I have to get back ." Hazel was about to call a cadet to bring her horse but he stopped her.

"Don't be ridiculous, they won't get back until tomorrow. Besides, Erwin will take this opportunity to kill me if I let you ride back this late. There's a place for you in the Military Police barracks," she started doubting about his offer "unless, you want to stay with the Premier and Commander Pyxis."

"Fine. You win this time, Nile" furrowing her brows.

Commander Nile made a squad escort her to the barracks and to a guest room for the night. Thanks to the busy day, she hasn't thought about the expedition and her friends, but at the time she was trying to sleep, the concern invaded her. With the lack of sleep she left Mitras early in the morning to made it back past midday.
