Hazel and Hange kept approaching the group of gentlemen, Erwin had a tender smile watching them, Miche's jaw had slightly dropped surprised by how they looked, Levi's eyes were deep on Hazel making her blush and nervously smiled to him.

"My, my, my... Splendid to see you, my dears. This men were already boring me." Commander Pyxis, said in a loud voice when they finally joined them. The other three looked at him with furrowed face, but he didn't seemed to noticed it.

"Good evening, everyone." Both made a light bow in courtesy.

A man over the little stage where the musicians were, called for everyone's attention in order to welcome all. Levi came to Hazel's side while the rest were looking at the host talking, passing his arm behind her lower back taking her by the waist closing their distance brushing his nose on her ear giving her tickles. "You're late." His voice was sterned and low, then kissed her cheek.

She turned her face to meet his eyes. "Shut up." She leaned a bit to left a kiss on his lips. "You look very handsome." Hazel looked down to the silk cloth that she had brought and he was using as cravat and played with it.

Levi felt a weird sensation in his stomach, wanting to smile but remained serious and formed a scowl clicking his tongue, but his cheeks were a bit pink. Hazel smiled at him, looking how he was struggling. "You..." He looked to the ground looking for the words to say. "You look good."

A bit disappointed. "Oh." Hazel stopped playing with his cravat and faced to the front at the man talking. "Thanks." Her smile faded and went serious placing her hands at the front of her dress.

He clicked his tongue again knowing he was supposed to say something more than 'good' starting to think about how to arrange his mistake still holding her with his arm

When the host finished his speech, the music went on again and the groups of people gathered talking and drinking.

"Hey..." Levi was about to tell her something else or maybe apologize, he didn't even knew what to say, but Erwin called for her attention as well.

"Hazel, want to introduce you some people."

"Sure." She let go from Levi's grip and followed him to a group of ladies and lords changing her serious face into a more relaxed one.

Levi stood there watching them left and Hange came to his side doing the same. "What did you do?" She questioned him, arranging her glasses.

His scowl deepened and growled. "I told her she look good."

She scoffed. "You're an idiot. She looks more than good."

"I know." He crossed his arms above his chest.

"You know you're an idiot or you know she looks heavenly? Well, either way you should do something."

She distracted herself with some other military acquaintances while he stood along Miche and Pyxis, who were still talking about the new cannons over the walls but not paying attention to them, instead he was watching from afar the interaction between Hazel, Erwin and the nobility people.

"I can't believe that such a lady like you is a captain in the Survey Corps." An old woman covered in jewels and a luxurious dress told her amazed after Erwin introduced Hazel to the group.

"And one of the best." Erwin added.

"Stop it, you're making me blush." She patted his arm playfully. "It cost me a lot of effort and training getting where I am, but I can say that it worth it. I am really proud of being able to fight in name of the people against the titans in order to get rid of them, so all could get out this walls expanding our territory. Just imagine what we might do with all the lands outside. Farms, crops, factories, even new cities. Adding to all this, I think that everyone deserves to know how the exterior is, such an amazing landscape, excluding the titans of course." Everyone laughed enjoying the chat and making more question to both soldiers. "Investing founds on the Survey Corps is investing on the future."

The group of people was larger than before making her feel flustered and had to excuse herself to leave. She was going back to where her friends were, but she was stopped by someone pulling her by the arm, a bit rough.

Taken aback, Hazel turned to find a young lord who was before hearing her in the large group and had followed her. Her expression wasn't pleased. "Excuse me?" She pulled off his hand with her free one.

"Pardon me. I was calling you out, but you didn't heard me." He might had be handsome, but the mischievous face he had and the way he had grabbed her made Hazel felt uncomfortable. "I'm Lord Langman." He bowed and took her hand kissing the back of it.

Hazel was confused and wanted to leave right away, his vibes disturbed her every second. She took her hand back. "Thanks for hearing me there, I have to find my..."

He took a step closer to her making the gap between them inexistent and interrupting her. His face was inches from hers. "I want to make you an offer. I have money. A lot of it." He caressed her cheek with the back of his finger and gave her a kinky look. "If you give me something in exchange, I could..."

Hazel pushed him being careful not to drag attention from the others nobility members and took a step backwards with a serious face. "I will tell you what it's going to happen, Lord Langman. You would give founds to the legion and I would not give you anything in return."

"How you dare?" His face turned angry by being rejected.

"Here's your cup, Haze." Suddenly, Levi was right beside her holding out a cup of champagne for her with the most threatening face at the young lord.

"I was talking to her first. Who you might be?" He took a prepotency pose.

"Have you heard about humanity's strongest soldier? I introduce you to Levi Ackerman." She crossed her arm with his and took the glass with her other hand, then gave him a kiss on the cheek. "Thanks, sweetheart." Turning again to the lord who was furious but maintaining his composure, she made her last threat. "I just met your grandma there, and I think she really liked me, so if you don't want me to tell her what you just did, I suggest you to watch out who you try to take advantage on the next time. Have a good night, Lord Langman." With a cynic smile she turned to leave with Levi in the opposite direction letting out a sigh.

"The hell he did?" Levi voice was sour with growl in it.

"I put him in place. He offered me money in exchange of 'something'. What a pig." She drank the whole glass in one gulp once they were far from him.

He tried to took the glass from her but it was too late. "Take it easy, you shouldn't drink a lot, remember?" His voice was concerned now and his face showed surprise.

"I got thirsty talking to them to get founds." She was off, not looking at him but her surrounding like looking for someone.

"Haze. Look, I'm sorry. Okay? I was pretty shocked I didn't knew what to say." He availed that her arm was still hanging from his and pulled her lightly to made her being in front of him, so she could just look at him. He put aside a lock of hair and place it behind her ear then cupped her face. "I don't have to tell you how stunning you look today, because you are everyday to me." He place his hand in the small of her back and with the other hand took hers. "I bet you want to dance, don't you?"

This made her genuinely smile. "You hate to dance, but if you insist."

"I was hoping you said no." This made her giggled. Levi's face was disgusted by the thought of dancing with all this people he hate, but his voice was tender, showing he really wanted to do this for her.

Hazel placed her free hand on the back of his neck stroking his fresh cut hair sending a shiver on his spine and both started to slow dancing. Hazel felt him stiffened and his eyes were looking to the sides, watching the people that might gave them a look once in a while. "Levi, relax. Is you and me." She let go of his hand and placed hers over his neck along with the other, following to rest her forehead with his.

He closed his eyes loosening his body and carry on with the dance. After a few seconds he opened them again and found her looking straight to his lips. "Stop doing that?"

"What?" She looked up disconcerted and also stopped caressing his hair.

He looked down to her lips, and with his, he brushed them while talking in a low voice. "You're making me want you."

She parted her lips expecting him to kissed her, but he separated a bit to see her reaction.  "Let's leave." She said as an order.
