The sky grew darker as Levi rode back to the headquarters, and almost reaching it, it began to pour. The rain soaked him, but his mind was so off right now that he didn't care. He realized where he was when his horse was already heading to the stable.

Coming down from the graceful stallion, he finish to leaded it to its shed and under the attendance of the caretaker. Exiting the barn, he looked up to the bench from where she instruct the cadets at the trainings imagining her like the first time he saw her after a long time.

He sat under the light rain watching the horizon where the field finish.

Someone was calling him at the distance but he snapped off his mind when they shook his shoulder. "Hey, Levi, are you okay? Where is Hazel?"

Levi turned his head to Haze's best friend who had a terrified look on her face, expecting horrible news. "She's with the Jaegers." His bored face eased her a bit but she stood there waiting for more information. "The doctor said..." His voice broke and looked to the ground.

Hange sat beside him expectant, shivering for the chill of the weather. "I get it." She let out a sarcastic scoff covering her anger and sadness. "Damn, Hazel." The tears fell from her eyes, and her uncontrollable sobbing made Levi looked at her. She was as tore apart as him, he felt the empathy like back at the mission where she explained the importance of her friend. Sloppy and clumsily, he patted her back in reassurance. After she took back her composure, she stood. "She's coming back, right?" He could see the concern in her voice at the thought that she wouldn't be able to see her again and nodded. "Let's go inside. You should dry off yourself." Hange took off her glasses and wiped her face before leaving to the interior of the main building with Levi behind her. "I will made someone to take you your dinner. Goodnight, shorty." Both parted into each one direction.

Levi reached the office and lighted on the lamps, left his soaked clothes at the door and went straight to the shower letting the hot water streamed over his body. The memories ran along with the water, the first time he saved her, the kind smile she offered in gratitude at the dirty alley, the way she managed to made him stay, and he was thankful for that, the circumstances back then united them. All the time being together training, the way they would came back home to find Declan, the silent nights reading and drinking tea. The only memory he regretted was throwing her away from the underground city breaking her heart.

Levi put his hands against the wall with a scowl. "No. If I wouldn't had, she would be dead long time ago by now. Tch. My life would be meaningless." Setting the thought aside, he turned off the water and went to change into clean clothes.

Feeling tired but knowing he won't be able to sleep in her absence, made his way to the office and found a tray with food at the coffee table and the tall commander watching out the window with his arms crossed. "Erwin." Levi greeted him with sour voice, disturbed that he had entered without consent.

"Hange told me you were back, I brought your dinner." He had his back to Levi and his voice was tough. "What did the doctor said?"

"You knew she was in bad shape, don't you? Why did you let her go?" His tone was defiant in purpose in order to made him felt the guilt. "She could've died out there." He went to the couch crossing his legs and stared at him, waiting for him to face him, and he did, but at Levi's surprise, his face didn't matched his voice.

Erwin was with a sad look, his usual sterned face was gone. Pity. "Was one of her last requests, what else I could've done with that stubborn woman?"

"Telling Hange or me."

"That was another request," he sighed as he took seat in the other side of the coach. "But the condition was she had to tell you both."

"Her heart is reaching its top, that's what he said." Levi took his sight off Erwin in order to grab the bread from the tray.

"I see. I'm as worry as you since I knew about her condition but I never got to tame her. She seems more happy than she already was, it was good to take the chance to brought you." He stayed there without moving for seconds before patting Levi's back in dismissal. "Don't let me disturb you anymore." He made his way out leaving him alone.

After leaving the fresh flowers in the silver urn from Declan's plaque, Hazel took a few minutes to say goodbye to her brother maybe for the last time, but it didn't has to be the last.

I wish you were here right now, what is the right thing to do? She wonder in front of the plaque before Eren came and grabbed her hand to exit the temple. "So, guys, what's next on the list?"

Hazel was gathering some items to Carla along with Eren and Mikasa at the district's market. The boy wanted to know every detail of the expedition as all the times she came to visit.

"You know I can't share everything we do out the walls."

"I want to know so I can be prepare when I get into the survey corps. Slashing every titan in my way and made the people free, I'll be the fiercest and bravest of them all." Eren had determination all over his face making Hazel worried, now she understood why Carla was so concerned about him, but that was what it takes to be in the legion, determination and bravery, the wish to end this nightmare whatever it takes. He was willing to do something to change the way the world was, to take risk, something Hazel had told Erwin that was imperative to do. "I'm sick of being within this walls, I don't want to be like the other people who walks so happy and comfort with their pathetic lives."

"You know, Eren, this is not as easy as you think. A soldier is not just a tough, strong and brave person, it takes a lot of skills and virtues, and also a lot of training. Don't get mad, but you could be so reckless sometimes. You need to use that brain of yours, is not just go out and kill."

"Don't worry, miss Haze, I'll do my best to make sure Eren is safe." Mikasa squeezed the sleeve from Hazel's sweater as they walked back the house and offered a faint smile.

"Mikasa you're not my mother. I will do anything to fulfill my goal." He was a few steps ahead from them, carrying the things they had gathered, and when he turned to protest, almost fell tripping with a rock on the path. Both girls grabbed him from the back of his jacket preventing him to reach the floor.

"See? You need to be more careful." Hazel rose her brow to him making her point clear as he pouted.

After the dinner, the three were at the couch making their homework from school.

"Hazel I need to do a biography of someone I admire, would you tell me your story?"

Hazel snapped out from her reading surprised with what he stated. "You already know everything about me."

"I don't want to miss a thing." He waited for her to started, from the underground city to the survey corps, and wrote down.

Reviewing her life as she was telling Eren, made her noticed how fortunate was she by the fact how many time she had almost face death but managed to still alive, prolonging her life even more would be something greedy but she wanted in order to be with her people and keep on fighting. But would thirteen years would be enough?

The next morning a loud screaming came from the outside of the house looking for her.

"I guess is your ride back, darling." Carla looked out the window from the kitchen, then came to say goodbye to her. "Have a nice trip and be safe." After hugging her, she combed Hazel's bangs off the face and kissed her forehead.

"Thanks for everything." She remarked the word in case there would be no other chance to say so.

"Guys, come here." Both came running and hugged her by the waist at the same time. She kissed the top of their heads. "Love you, okay?" They nodded before she went to the door where Dr. Grisha waited for her and opened the door. "I need time." He nodded and she walked out.

"HAAAZEL,baby!" Hange was waiting for her with opened arms at the street with acarriage at her back. "Let's have a date."
