What if you're the top kid of your high school but suddenly someone from your past comes back and seeks revenge from you because of all the terrible things you've done to them?
---------
Park Chaeyoung. The name was enough for everyone to start gush...
Chaeyoung stood and ran towards the school, but she knew she was late, because she couldn't find Jennie at the entrance. In this Taelismin drama, she had nearly forgotten about Jennie.
She ran here and there, she needed to find her before the bell rang
As she was still searching, she stumbled across the music room, like always. And Yoongi was also in there, like always.
When he started playing the piano, Chaeyoung covered her ears, he was playing all the wrong keys!
Doesn't he get tired of playing that song all the time? And that too, with all the notes wrong? Chaeyoung thought.
He used to be the best pianist of their school, always getting to play the piano when they had masquerade balls. But what happened suddenly? He was supposed to play different songs, yet here he was, not paying attention and messing up everything.
Chaeyoung was the only person who knew what happened to the boy. Even if the notes weren't right, she was aware which song it was, it was Jennie's favourite song.
Then the music suddenly stopped.
Chaeyoung turned back to the music room, hearing the door crack open, she saw Yoongi coming out of the room.
He walked with his head hung low, his eyes were hollow. Passing by Chaeyoung, he didn't even notice her, it was as if everything was invisible to him.
Chaeyoung knew where he was going, she wished she could stop him, but she didn't. At least, not now.
Jennie and Yoongi had made this mess, but they did need Chaeyoung to help them clean it up.

On the other hand, the said brunette wandered in the school, looking for Chaeyoung. Slightly awkward, she was also scared even if the place hadn't changed much.
She was walking in the hallway which was a bit crowded, and she felt a gaze on her which made her uncomfortable. Then, she turned abruptly to see who it was.
And she froze.
There he stood. Even between so many other students, she had locked eyes with him, only him.
There were bags under his eyes, his hair messed up, mismatched clothing, his shoulders slumped, defeated. He looked horrible, his face was so pale that he looked like a ghost.
" . . . Suga?"
" . . . Rubyjane?"
They whispered mindlessly at the same time.
A cold breeze passed by, and suddenly, it felt as if they were alone in the crowd.
They had a staring contest. He didn't run up to her and hug her, he had no right to. She, too, was on the same page. She took steps backwards, and started to turn away slowly, as if she didn't know him.
Because judging from his appearance, it felt like she really didn't know him at all.
It was so hard. Walking away from him, walking away from someone who had pieces of her heart, and she had his. Nonetheless, she wasn't going to stay, she just tried to escape from there.
And just as she was turned right from the hallway, she nearly bumped into someone.
"Unnie" Chaeyoung's flat voice pierced through her soul. Jennie looked up at the girl.
Chaeyoung stood tall, her hair was open, she was wearing a plain black crop top and a light gray (I really dun know what that color is lol) cardigan and high waisted denim jeans. With her lips formed in a thin line, Chaeyoung never looked so serious.

Her facial features were soft, but sharp. "C-Chaeng! I didn't s-see you there" Were Jennie's first words as she tired to regain her posture after this mini heart attack. "I need to show you something" Chaeyoung said after she eyed Jennie.
Her gaze was so intimating that Jennie felt like she had committed a crime.
"Alright" Jennie followed Chaeyoung. Chaeyoung stopped right in front of the cafeteria, and nodded her head to the small glass pane in the door.
Jennie peeked from it. She could see Lisa and a boy on a table with a cake placed in front of them, they were playing with it, just like they were playing with others' feelings.
He put some cream on Lisa's cheek, she laughed and put some on his nose, and they continued to have a mini cake fight while taking some selfies.
"That's. . . Lili?" Jennie stepped back in disbelief, because she was sure that the boy inside wasn't Taehyung since she had seen Taehyung's pictures.
It was Jimin.
She couldn't believe it anymore. All her friends, they were like. . . strangers to her now, it was as if Jennie herself was a glue that kept them together, and once she left, they all drifted apart.
Yoongi. The guy who was always in swag, who showed his gummy smile to his loved ones, who messed around with them, who was the best pianist and lyricist for them, who wrote love songs for her. He was gone.
Lisa. The maknae, the shy beauty who didn't like boys, who had Jennie as her role model, who looked up to them as her only family, who hated romance. She wasn't her real self, this wasn't the Lisa they knew. This was a facade.
Chaeyoung. The angel, the one who was always goofing around, who was the reason all of them had met, who had a melodious voice, who sang with Yoongi at balls and parties, she had stopped all of it. She became serious, she didn't like jokes anymore. She was now the one trying to keep them all together.
Jennie. The one who once ruled, the leader of their group, the one who kept them together and motivated them, who helped them through tough times, who gossiped the most, the strongest one of them all, she had run away from her own problems. She left them, she broke herself for him, and this was who she was now.
Well, 2 years made a difference after all.
