Author's PoV :-
"Ask her out." - Hoseok.
~~~~~~~
"Aeri Uchinaga." The name rolled off his tongue with such softness, that Hoseok doubted himself for a second if it was the same Jungkook he knew, a smile decorated his face. "Tell me more," Hoseok giggled like a child, pulling Jungkook to sit down as he himself sat across from him.
Flashback:-
"Are . . . you . . Jeon Jungkook?" Jungkook turned around upon hearing a sweet feminine voice from behind him. "I'm Aeri Uchinaga," The girl with long sleek brown hair smiled at him, making her eyes disappear for second as she was extending her arm for a handshake.
It was certainly the cutest smile Jungkook had ever seen, and he was so lost in it that he even failed to notice her broken accent. "It's okay, I speak Japanese" Jungkook quickly responded, switching to Japanese as they shook hands.
"Oh, that's great" She nodded . "You're Mr. Uchinaga's elder daughter, am I correct?" Jungkook decided to engage her in a small conversation as they headed to the meeting room. "Yes, apparently, Father stepped down from his place as the CEO, and it was passed to me." Aeri explained briefly, her attitude giving him the hint that she was probably quite reserved and preferred to stay professional, even if it was him.
"I'm sure you're doing a great job at handling the company," Jungkook glanced at her, finding her pushing her hair back from her face, and for a moment there, Jungkook felt like the only thing he could see was her.
She was the only thing that was clear in his blurred vision. "Ah, it's tiring, but I try to give my best" Aeri chuckled lightly, her hand coming up to cover her mouth, being suddenly flustered by his comment.
"Me too, and yet I'm not even handling the whole company yet!" Jungkook felt a boost of confidence as he looked at her cheeks that turned red, they both giggled unknowingly. "Wait, you're not? Then how come you're here?" Aeri realized, stopping in her tracks which cut his laughter short.
"Actually, my older brother is the CEO, and I'm the owner, and he couldn't come here so I came instead." Jungkook shrugged nonchalantly, and for once, Aeri felt stupid for not thinking before speaking. "Right." She nodded thoughtfully as they continued.
They reached the meeting room in silence, and right as Jungkook was about to open the door for her, she reached out at the same time, causing their hands to brush against each other occasionally.
"I'm sorry!"
Aeri and Jungkook let out simultaneously, ending up laughing together again. "No, really, my bad" Jungkook mumbled, finally opening the door and stepping in behind her.
Flashback Ends:-
"That's very romantic," Jungkook rolled his eyes at Hoseok's remark. "Sure it is, but now we're never going to meet again" His shoulders slumped as he shook his head. "Now that's a fact" Hoseok received a slap on his knee for his statement.
"Hyung! You're supposed to say something like 'it's okay' but you? You're agreeing with me!" He whined loudly, making Hoseok chuckle at the younger one's behavior. "You'll meet her again when fate decides it's time for your paths to cross again." Hoseok quoted with dreamy eyes.
"When are you gonna stop saving these aesthetic quotes, hyung?" Jungkook grinned at him. "Until I would stop getting into situations where I can say the quotes" He shrugged, squinting his eyes with a smile.
"And by the way, don't lose hope yet. How far is Tokyo from here? like 2 hours maybe? So you can go there and make up some excuses to meet her again and again" Hoseok quickly added, turning serious now. "Well if you're such a mastermind, why don't give me my first excuse to meet her?" Jungkook pouted with his brows furrowed.
"Simple. Ask her out" The words and the smile playing on Hoseok's lips made Jungkook almost choke on his spit. "You're crazy. Here I'm even struggling to dial her number that she gave me, and you're suggesting me to ask her out just like that" Jungkook looked at him in disbelief.
"Well, you just told me she's quiet but she's open minded, so I don't think she'd mind going on a simple dinner with you. Wait, I know! You can invite her to Korea, saying that it's just because her dad and your dad have shared a great bond in the business industry, and so you 'thought' you can arrange a nice evening as a way of saying thank you." He smirked proudly after being able to come up with such a good idea in a matter of seconds.
"And from there, we can become even better business partners, her company holds the most shares in ours anyway. Wah, you're so clever hyung!" Jungkook clapped with a cheeky smile, already being excited about it.
Hoseok only watched him living his happiness with only one thought circling his mind.
Everyone had their happy endings after all, huh . . .
