Mistaken

Chapter #24

Author's PoV :

"Don't pretend you don't feel anything for me, Jisoo" - Jin.

"Tae!" Lisa jumped in Taehyung's arms as soon as she saw him. "Love, did you miss me?" He asked after a while as he let go of the hug, giving her a kiss on her forehead. "More than ever!" She jumped in excitement, he laughed at her

"I missed you too, so much. You know even my mom noticed how off I was? I told her about you, and she really seemed to like you" He told her as they started walking towards the parking lot, their arms around each other.

"Really? That's great! I'll come with you the next time you'll go" She said. "Yeah she asked me to bring you the next time I visit, actually" He nodded, she squealed. Her overjoyed self made him smile wider.

Jungkook stood leaned against his car with his arms crossed, watching the couple approach him with a bored expression. " And she even said - ahahahahaha what happened to you?" Taehyung burst out laughing when he saw that Jungkook had a black eye.

"Your girlfriend happened to me" Jungkook rolled his eyes. Taehyung stopped laughing and looked between them. "Lali you did that?" Lisa nodded at his question. "Wow I'm so proud of you" He ruffled her hair as they both exchanged cheeky smiles.

"Yah! Get ahold of her! I accidently broke a bracelet of hers and she did this, and I think she even broke my ribs!" Jungkook whined. "Lali, I asked him to keep you company, not for you to turn him into a punching bag" He scolded her softly.

"I did not! It was the bracelet you gave me on our first date!" She crossed her arms with a pout. "Oh, then you broke his ribs for good" He nodded, Jungkook gave him the most disgusting expression he ever could while Lisa just smiled secretly.

"Can we go?" Jungkook rubbed his hands together, the couple nodded and sat inside the car. "Jeon, can you put my favorite song on?" Lisa asked him. "Yeah" He nodded. 

Her favorite song? But this is so not her type of song, Taehyung furrowed his brows, listening to the up-beat music blasting from the speakers of Jungkook's Mercedes. "Love, when was this your favorite song? Wasn't it the other one?" Taehyung looked at her.

"Jungkook told me about this one, it's a bop!" She replied quickly as she and Jungkook started singing along to the song. "It's nice, but . . . " Taehyung couldn't find the right words to describe what he was feeling.

Something was just so . . .  wrong about all this, but he couldn't put his finger on it. Had he done something wrong by letting Lisa and Jungkook become friends?

"He's back" Jin looked at Jisoo as her silent words were very clearly heard in the empty lounge. "Oh" He let out, avoiding her eyes. "I don't think this is a good idea, Jin" She held his forearm to stop him from walking away.

"Why?" He asked, checking the time on his watch. "Because he's dating her and he loves her, then why should I go and tell him about what I felt for him? It's useless, even if it means that I'd be relieved knowing that I told him about it, I think I'd rather shut up than to see pity in his eyes for me" She reasoned out.

"He should know" He mumbled, she sighed with a shake of her head. Gazing at her, he saw how tense she was. "Fine," He breathed out, she looked up at him. "Don't tell him, if that's what you want." She smiled, he really had become someone she didn't want to anger.

"But I'm telling you, it's gonna hurt if you're endure it silently" He added, giving her a look. "Why the sudden change?" She nudged him lightly, a shy smile playing on her lips. "I was thinking about something better than this" His words made her laugh, what else had she expected from Jin?

"And what is that?" She crossed her arms. "That the next time you'll meet him, I could come with you and you could introduce me as your boyfriend, so that later on when you tell him something like 'you were my crush' or give him a hint, he won't feel bad for you knowing that you've moved on" He explained.

Jisoo thought about his words for a moment as they stepped in the elevator. And though it wasn't a bad idea, she was still not going to tell Taehyung that she used to have feelings for him. Jin said that if she didn't tell him, it would always hurt her knowing that she never told him about it.

"But you're not my-" She was cut off when he walked towards her, backing her up against the wall of the elevator. He stared deeply into her eyes as he put his hands on both her sides, trapping her.

"But I could be" He tilted his head to the side in a very attractive way. "J-Jin" She put her hands on his chest, attempting to push him away. "Don't pretend you don't feel anything for me, Jisoo" He said, not moving an inch.

She just stared back at him. Did she really . . . ? No, she couldn't, and she shouldn't. There was nothing bad about him, but how could she like someone she just met a week ago? 

He was just inches away, and he could read her so easily. She was innocent, very innocent, and for the first time in his life, Jin felt bad for knowing too much about the world, for being so cunning.

Ding!

The elevator doors opened, and he was very thankful that there was no one on the ground floor. Jin stepped away, brushing off imaginary dust from his jeans. But before leaving the elevator, he looked back at her and gave her a knowing look.

She pursed her lips and followed shortly behind, but his words repeated in her head.
