Mistaken

Chapter #50

Author's PoV:

"Where are they staying?" - Taehyung.

Maybe she was trying to ignore it, maybe she really was trying to tell herself that she had no idea about Jungkook's feelings towards her, but Lisa knew it was true.

It was what she had seen in his eyes; the betrayal, the pain, the regret, she had seen it all. And if it hadn't been for the fact that she knew him so deeply without a doubt, then she would've never guessed it was all Hoseok's plan.

Lisa had come to the conclusion that it was all planned.

While talking with Taehyung on some random topic the other day, he had told her out of the blue that Hoseok had been the one who suggested him to take her here. 

Then, she bumped into Jungkook yesterday, and it certainly couldn't be a coincidence that Jungkook was here at the same time as hers. 

Hoseok. The only person who could do it, the one who knew literally everything. 

She understood that Hoseok was trying to make Jungkook realize his mistake, but she felt as if it had been a big realization for her too. 

That night, that faithful night, when Jungkook and Lisa had decided to rebel and get drunk because they were both in too many problems and wanted to forget about them for a while, they had played a 21 question.

Lisa remembered it all way too clearly.

Flashback:-

"Forbidden?"

Lisa's question remained unanswered for a moment, as Jungkook stared at her, for a second forgetting how wrong this was. 

But then he burst out laughing, and Lisa laughed along with him without knowing why, she thought he looked funny doing that. 

"I fell for someone I'm not supposed to, she's taken, so it's forbidden for me to look at her in this way." He explained, shaking his head as he looked away from her.

"Why?" Lisa asked, a bit too curious to know about who the girl was.

"I don't know, but her smile, that darn smile just lights up my whole world."

Lisa laughed, clapping her hands and suddenly finding everything too funny. She was too lost to even notice the lingering desire in Jungkook's brown irises to hold her close to him.

And Jungkook couldn't help but just stare, because he knew he was capable of nothing else. 

Nothing more.

Flashback Ends:-

Lisa took a deep breath, her mind going back to the day Taehyung had told her the same thing as Jungkook. 

Taehyung had said this to her many times, that her smile made his day. 

The words were different, but the meaning was same.
