Mistaken

Chapter #19

Author's PoV :

"I'll have to do something about that Jungkook" - Chaeyoung.

"Ma'am, there's a guest for you" An employee told Jisoo. "Guest? Uh, send them in my office, I'll be there in a minute" Jisoo smiled, the employee bowed and left. Jisoo drank some water as she was watching the photographer snap some shots of the pretty model who was posing on a chair.

She then started walking towards her office, and she opened the door expecting to see someone there. But to her surprise, there was no one in there. Her eyes scanned the room, only to land on something on her desk.

She went forward and lifted the cup of coffee in her hand, and saw a note attached to it.

She didn't need to be told who was it from, or why was it here, or even where she had to go. She already knew it.

"You were right, this place is out of this world" Chaeyoung said, resting her elbows on the table and her chin on the back of her hands as she gazed at the view before her. 

Currently, she and Jimin were having lunch at the restaurant he brought her to, it was built on a beach and gave away a good view of the sea waves that were crashing, the water was shining because of the direct sunlight and the calm, summer breeze topped it all.

"Yeah, totally out of this world" He sipped on his cocktail, staring at her instead. She looked back at him and found her staring at her with such an intense gaze. She blushed and looked down at her food, resuming to eat it.

"Sweetheart, I cannot wait for your answer any longer" He whined, holding her hand. "So impatient?" She teased. "Well, when your future girlfriend is Park Chaeyoung, anyone can be impatient" He replied, she giggled.

"I've thought of my answer" She gave him a serious face, he sat up straight. "Will you be my girlfriend Chaeyoung?" He came closer. "No" She answered, he just stared at her dumbfoundedly. "I mean, not yet" She corrected herself.

"Why?" He groaned, leaning back in his seat. "Is this how you ask someone out? It has to be special, Jimin" She pouted. "Well what do you want? Should we go to the moon and I can ask you out there?" He asked, not sarcastically. 

"Yah!" She slapped his hand away. "I'll ask you out in front of the whole school Chaeyoung, I want everyone to know that you're mine" He told her. "Hmm, I could consider that" She nodded. 

"You will have to, I don't want some stupid boys lurking around you as if they have a chance. I know you don't like it, and if I will show everyone that you belong to me, then no one will dare to come near you" He smiled.

"How sweet, jealous already?" She teased again. "Why wouldn't I be? You're the most prettiest girl in the whole world, of course I'd be jealous because they'll be staring at you" He reasoned it out. 

"Sheesh, how many times will you tell me that I'm pretty?" She asked with a small chuckle. "Forever" She saw the sincerity in his eyes and smiled back at him.

"Alright changing the topic, what's with Lisa and Jungkook?" He asked. "What?" She asked back, utterly confused. "They've been hanging out lately, but why? Lisa never gave Taehyung's friend an eye, why would she suddenly be interested in Jungkook? Don't you feel something is wrong here?" He explained.

"She's been dating Taehyung for almost 3 years now Jimin, I don't think they'd break up over something as little as Jungkook being a third wheel when they're hanging out. Heck, I can literally see Lisa in a bridal dress saying her vows to Taehyung" She giggled nonchalantly.

"That's the problem Chae; she's hanging out with Jungkook without Taaehyung" Chaeyoung's laughter was cut short. "What?" She furrowed her brows. "Yeah, right before I picked you up, I saw them entering the mall. Lisa seemed so happy, I have never seen her laughing so much even at those times I comforted her" he told her.

They sat in a thoughtful silence, until she broke it.

"I have to talk with her, she hasn't been meeting me recently, always says that she's busy or that some stuff came up. Guess I'll have to do something about that Jungkook too if he really is involved in this" She nodded to herself.

"Why? Why is it always you who's trying to fix everything?" He questioned. "Because they can't fix these things by themselves. Jennie and Yoongi ruined each other to get to each other, Lisa made many mistakes in the past and I had to fix all that" She sighed.

"I can't believe we were once free from all those troubles. They have always been there for me when I have done stupid things Jimin, and these are just the chances to pay them back. Our friendship works like that,"

"I'll have to think of something" Chaeyoung finished with a nod to herself.
