"You're living in a lie." - Hoseok.
~~~~~~~~
One week. One entire week, and not even once had Jimin come to see Chaeyoung. Even though she kept on asking about him, they always made up an excuse and brushed her off.
"Distancing yourself from her won't make a difference, Jimin, it's only gonna make it worse" Hoseok calmly spoke, standing in front of the giant window in his house.
"What will I say to her? That I'm sorry? Or that it's all my fault and that she can just blame me because I was the one who held a grudge against her and did all this to her?" Jimin questioned, his eyes that had bags under them, looked up at Hoseok with no emotions in them other than exhaustion.
Hoseok had never seen Jimin so small and fragile, the younger one always stood tall with his head up high. But now that those eyes that were once full of power were drained and refused to look up at anyone, even Hoseok was confused as to how he was going to comfort him.
"Whatever you would say, at least go and speak to her. If you think her life would get better if you both broke up, then trust me, you're living in a lie." Hoseok paused, sighing deeply as he rubbed his temples.
"I can see it, the way she wants to see you and misses you, we all can see it. Do you know your name is the first thing that leaves her mouth her mouth everyday she wakes up?" Hoseok looked back at him with an amused grin on his face.
"Really?" Jimin's hoarse voice asked him, the small glimmer of hope in his eyes being obvious to Hoseok which made him smile. "Yes, Jimin. She's waiting for you, but don't keep her waiting forever just because you think she doesn't want you back" Momo handed him a cup of coffee, as well as a light squeeze on his shoulder with her smile.
"If that's how it really is, then tell me that . . . " Jimin trailed off, for a moment contemplating if what he wanted to ask . . was even worth it anymore. Hoseok raised a brow at him, silently asking him to continue.
"She . . . she still loves me, right? She really wants me to be there, right?" Hoseok's smile returned, and he knew that small gesture was just enough reassurance for Jimin.
"Then h-how about now? Should I go now?" Jimin seemed to return to the real world, his brain starting to work again after a whole week of exhaustion and lack of concentration. "Yeah, of course, but groom yourself before that, you look like a zombie" Hoseok joked at him.
"I'll talk to you later then, I should get going. Thanks guys," Jimin said, the corners of his mouth lifting up and as Hoseok rubbed his back and waved him off quickly before the boy could change his mind again, tat's what he had been doing the rest of the week anyway.
Once the door was closed, Hoseok and Momo exchanged looks. "I wish him the best," Momo said, eyes landing on the untouched cup of coffee as she rested her head on Hoseok's shoulder. "Me too," Hoseok placed a kiss on her forehead, nodding his head.
To say Lisa was surprised to see Jimin standing there was an understatement. She was utterly dumbfounded when her eyes landed on him as he was entering the hospital and she was on the reception to take Chaeyoung's discharge papers.
Clad in a plain black button up and black jeans, with his hair damp looking like he had just showered, Jimin stopped right there when he he saw Lisa staring at him already. And she, for a reason, had already guessed why he was here.
"She's getting discharged?" He approached her, his tone calm as if he didn't just have a mental breakdown earlier. "She's free to meet, room 129" She told him, taking a pen to sign the papers. "Okay, thanks" Jimin walked away quickly, and right as she was done signing, she called Taehyung.
"Yes, love?" He picked up almost immediately. "Uh Jimin came, get out of there" She said. "Well that's great, I' coming" He answered before hanging up. Lisa sighed, leaning against the counter as she waited for Taehyung.
"met him in the elevator, said he's here to sort it out for once and for all." Taehyung's soulful voice filled her ears, making her turn around to meet his smiling face. "Really I thought he might be here to break up with her, because you know, after whatever happened . . . " Lisa's eyes widened in surprise, feeling happy that Jimin was actually thinking straight.
"Yeah, even I thought the same. But then he told me that he promised to her that he would never leave her, and that he never breaks promises. Hoseok hyung's words probably knocked some sense in him, I guess" He chuckled, wrapping an arm around her.
"Huh, maybe life isn't so cruel after all."
