"I don't want this." - Jungkook.

~~~~~~~
At last, the day of the party arrived. Lisa had cut her hair short to her shoulders and of course, she looked gorgeous as ever. Chaeyoung had also dyed her blonde hair to silver, and she absolutely stunned in it. The two beauties were surely going to shine tonight, and they both knew it.
After a bunch of small arguments between Taehyung, Lisa and Jungkook, the two had exchanged suits. Something was a bit off about the black suit for Lisa, because from her point of view, she really believed Jungkook had rocked it. Well not that Jungkook and Taehyung looked bad though, they looked just as handsome as always.
Turned out, that day when Taehyung and Irene encountered each other at the aquarium, he had invited her to the party himself. And though Jungkook was mad on him for that, he let it go eventually knowing that the beautiful girl in the white dress was coming here for him, and only him.
He wondered how surprised she would be to see that they would be matching? But then, his mind always went back to thinking that maybe this was just a physical attraction, maybe Jungkook just had a crush on Irene because of how beautiful she was.
Because Jungkook was so not ready to accept that he couldn't move on from Lisa that easily.
He could, couldn't he? But he somehow knew that it wouldn't work out and that he was just uselessly fooling himself and lying to his own self when he saw how distant Lisa and Taehyung looked even when they came walking hand in hand.
There were a very few people who observed so deeply like Hoseok and Jungkook, and while standing next to each other at the bar counter as they shared a glance, Hoseok and Jungkook knew they had seen the same thing.
Taehyung and Lisa were holding hands, they were smiling, and it all seemed perfect in the eyes of the world when it wasn't.
Taehyung was the one holding her hand, she didn't even hold it back, so it was as if he was almost dragging her. She was smiling, but it wasn't genuine and it showed. Taehyung's own smile didn't reach his eyes, he looked tense, and his neck veins were also visible which was a sign of anger. It wasn't perfect, nothing between them was.
"They fought," Hoseok mumbled, remembering he had heard some screaming from a certain room earlier in the mansion they were at right now. "I can see that" Jungkook replied with a nod as a sigh escaped his lips.
"But I don't want this" Jungkook turned around to the bar counter abruptly, gulping down a shot of vodka. "I know you don't. But we both know it's not your fault" Hoseok said to him, holding his wrist as a way of telling him to not drink the vodka anymore, the night hadn't even started anyway.
"I want to move on, she's never going to be mine, but I-I just can't accept it" A tear rolled down Jungkook's cheek, which he quickly wiped away without his hyung noticing it.
"It was my idea. I told Taehyung to take her on a vacation, it's for your own good Jungkook. Maybe their vacation could change things between them, maybe they wouldn't be so distant after it" Hoseok told him, catching the said couple chatting with a bright Yoongi and a dazzling Jennie.
After a small silence between them, Jungkook finally asked. "Where are they going? He didn't tell me, said it was a secret and that he wouldn't tell anyone" His voice was low, weak, and broken.
Hoseok knew it broke Jungkook, and seeing his dongsaeng in that state shattered Hoseok's heart too.
Hoseok used to be a very bright and enthusiastic child before the traumatizing incident of his family happened with him. After that, he became mature, quiet, and definitely more smarter. He was still a ball of sunshine to many people, but when it came to Jungkook, only the two were able to understand each other's twisted words.
Though he had been tough on Jungkook from the very beginning, Jungkook was one of the few people he had a soft spot for. He couldn't see Jungkook crying, because he had always built him to be strong.
Guess love broke the strongest one too, huh?
"I can't tell you" Hoseok sighed, nearly sighing again at the realization of how much of a habit it had become lately. Jungkook smirked at his words, turning his to meet eyes with Hoseok. His eyes were glossy, full of pain, full of tears, and reflecting so many emotions that Hoseok had to look away from Jungkook.
The girl whom Hoseok thought could change Jungkook's life hadn't even arrived yet, and it was already going downhill.
