"No one can stay the same forever." - Jimin.
~~~~~~~~
"What have you done for her?"
Jungkook was at a loss of words. Hoseok's words cut through all his imaginations and his dreams were torn apart, just like his heart. "Stop living in your useless daydreams Jungkook, this real life, not some story in which you could write a new chapter everyday and twist the story into how you want it to." Hoseok calmly told him.
"But I . . .I-I could-" Jungkook stopped speaking when he realized that he had nothing to say. Hoseok was right; he had always been right but it was just Jungkook who refused to wake up from his dream where he and Lisa could be one.
"You cannot. I've told you before, you need to move on. You can't stay like this forever, even if it hurts, you have to accept that she doesn't love you back" The older one sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose.
"I can't!" Jungkook cried, his eyes welling up.
"You can! You're just lying to yourself that you can't because you're still holding onto that thin string of hope. You're telling yourself that those moments you both shared, those laughs and smiles between you guys, it might've meant something more than that to her."
"Well guess what Jungkook!? It didn't mean anything to her. Everything that ever meant something to her was Taehyung, not you. Because she loves Taehyung, not you." Hoseok's words were harsh, but when was truth ever sweet?
And if Hoseok was being honest, he couldn't keep it together anymore. He was done being soft to Jungkook, he was done with dealing everything by himself. Heck, when was the last time he had thought about his own self? Probably when he dated Momo, but still, it had been months since that happened.
It was always Jungkook and Jungkook, but till how long would Hoseok take care of him? Jungkook had to stop being childish. There was a limit to Hoseok's patience about the younger's immaturity, and today, that limit had unfortunately been crossed.
"Start opening your eyes to the damned world, Jungkook. I won't always be here to make you realize everything" Hoseok rolled his eyes. For one reason, Hoseok knew why he was good friends with Jin, and it was because they were always on the same page.
Always looking out for their dongsaengs, always having the upper hand at every situation. But enough is enough, Jungkook was already 23 and needed to know how to live his life on his own.
Hoseok walked away from them not caring about Jungkook standing there with tears in his eyes anymore. He really needed some space from all these problems, couldn't there just be one moment where he would be able to forget about everything?
Though he knew that this time he himself had chosen this issue, but it was again for the same person, and he was again back at square one; Jungkook.
"Damn my life" Hoseok muttered, watching Irene and Lisa laughing and chatting with Taehyung from afar. A thought made it's way in his head, making him frown.
Had he won this game now?
Now that Jungkook had realized everything, was he going to let it go? Hoseok didn't trust Jungkook on that one, and he was starting to think that the boy still might not give up.
So what was he going to do if Jungkook didn't give up?
"It's been two weeks hyung, and you're calling me now?" Jimin chuckled, his phone being pressed to his ear with his shoulder as he sorted out some files in his new office that he usually worked in.
"Well, I thought you'd be busy in that dance party thing so I didn't call you, and this week was hectic for me." Jin replied with a roll of his eyes, as if Jimin were sitting there in front of him.
"Anyway, when are you picking up Seulgi?" Jimin decided to just get to the point. "May I remind you, I'm not into all that anymore" Jin scolded, making Jimin mock an expression of Jin's out of annoyance.
"I've asked some old partners, I'll send you their numbers and they'll tell you when and where they'll bring her" Jin said, his voice being cold when he talked about his dark past. "Perfect. What are their names though?" Jimin smirked, sitting down in his chair.
"Hyunjin, Jisung and Felix" Jin spoke, staring at the three photos of the said men placed on his desk. "Felix? Sounds foreign" Jimin snorted, shaking his head. "Yes, he works for the Australians. And Jimin, I'm warning you, this is the last time I'm doing you this kind of favor." Jin said seriously.
"Hopefully. Because if she doesn't back out from this marriage, then I might have to find another way." Jimin's words made Jin widen his eyes. "What have you become, Jimin? This isn't who you are" Jin let out a deep breath, a look of worry plastered on his face.
"I know that, but no one can stay the same forever, hyung." Jimin calmly said, as if he wasn't saying that at all. "Hello? Hyung? Hyu-" Jimin pulled the phone away from his ear, making a face at the realization of Jin hanging up at him.
"Gosh, it's way harder than I thought."
