Mistaken

Chapter #21

Author's PoV :

"What are we, Jin?" Jisoo.

An amusing silence surrounded Jin and Jisoo as they sat across from each other on a table in the coffee shop which was empty at the moment. Everything was just . . . still, as if time had stopped for them to talk. No words were exchanged, no eye contact, they were just sitting there quietly.

"I didn't think you'd come" He started with a low voice, she kept staring at him while had been avoiding her eyes for the entire time. "I didn't think you'd ask me to" She replied flatly. "I'm sorry" He sighed.

"For what?" She asked, because honestly, she didn't even know why he had called her here to talk when there was nothing between them, not even a friendship. 

"For everything . . . that I didn't tell you about" He bit his lip. "What are we, Jin? We're not friends, we're not dating, I don't even know you. Then why? Why would you say this?" She asked. 

"I don't know, okay?" He snapped as his eyes finally met hers, and they had mixed emotions. "I don't know what's happening with me, Jisoo. Y-You're making me confused. On one hand I'm trying to stay away from you because I'm no good for you, but on the other hand I can't seem to let you go" He held his head in his hands.

Although she was shocked from his confession, she was glad that at least he was being honest with her about it. "What does your heart say, then?" His head shot up at her question. "Huh?" He furrowed his brows, confused.

"What does your heart want?" He pursed his lips, lost in a thought for a moment. "What if I said it wants you?" He murmured, but she heard. "What if I said mine says the same thing?" She teased, looking down at her hands.

"But we just met" He complained, now fully understanding that they were on the same page. "Well then, let's get to know each other first, and then we can decide what to do" She suggested, but he tensed immediately.

"Jisoo, I really want to open up to you . . . but-" She cut him off by placing her hand on his that was rested on the table. 

"Take your time, what are we even rushing things for? It's totally fine if you don't trust me, even I don't. I'm alright as long as you're willing to open up and show your pain, and that does take a little while so that's okay, I understand" She reassured with a smile. He seemed a bit relaxed, and held her hand with a smile.

"I must've done something good in my past life to deserve to meet you" He said, she chuckled. Things might be going slow between them after this, but at least after suffering with so much pain, they had each other now.

"Jennie" Yoongi called softly, entering the living room. "Hmm?" She hummed in response, not taking her eyes off her phone  as she ate a chocolate bar, seated on the edge of the couch. He walked over to her and lied down, resting his head in her lap.

She smiled down at him and put her phone aside, running her free hand through his mint green hair. "I'm worried" He sighed, closing his eyes. "Is is because of Jin?" She asked, he nodded. "Don't be, I told you it has nothing to do with me and you" She told him.

"But what if he tried to get back into our lives?" He asked. "One: we won't let him. And Two: he wouldn't even want to" She huffed out. "How are you so sure about it?" He sat up straight, looking at her with a brow raised. 

"Because he moved on, I saw him with someone I never expected it to be" She smiled. "Yeah? Who?" He asked. "Kim Jisoo" She answered. "Jisoo . . . Wait, is it Taehyung's best friend, head editor of DAZED Kim Jisoo?" She nodded at him.

"Damn, do you think we should warn her about it?" Yoongi asked, feeling a bit sad for Jisoo for being friends with Jin. "No, I think it's better to stay quiet. He'll tell her everything eventually like he told me" Jennie pinched his cheeks, he gave her a wide grin.

"No one would want to stay in Jin's life after knowing who he really is, but as you say"

(A/N: Sorry for not updating guys, I was kinda sick since I got vaccinated so that's why I couldn't update and my left arm was hurting like hell? I mean why, WHY DOES IT HAVE TO BE SO PAINFUL!?  Anyway, hope you enjoyed the chapter and a small notice that I'm working on two long long long bts x blackpink and taelice fanfics which I'm planning to post in the near future!)
