"I know who you are" - Hoseok.
~~~~~~~
Jimin tapped his foot impatiently on the ground, looking at his watch. Hoseok kept his eyes locked on Jimin, but without even breathing a word. "It's been twenty minutes, hyung, why don't you just tell me what you called me here for?" Jimin finally asked, trying hard not to show his frustration and nervousness to Hoseok.
"Why? Do you have to go somewhere else?" Hoseok looked at him, his eyes were unreadable. "It's not that . . . you're just so quiet and it's weird" Jimin started chuckling.
"I know who you are" Hoseok's words cut Jimin's laughter short.
"What do you even mean by that?" Jimin put on a smile which was too fake to begin with, while he also broke into cold sweat. Of all the people finding out who he really was, Jimin had wanted Hosoek to be the last one because well, who knew Hoseok and Jimin better than each other?
Hoseok squinted his eyes at him, being relieved that what he had been thinking about the boy all along was right. "Don't play dumb, Park. I remember you from middle school" Jimin held his breath for a moment, ready to decline it of course.
"Don't even think about it," Hoseok warned, pointing a finger at him. "Answer me, why are you back?" He then continued on. "I don't know what you-" He slammed his hand on the table, cutting Jimin off again.
"Why are you back? Why are you pretending to be someone else? Why did you decide to date Chaeyoung? Something about you showing up out of the blue is so damn wrong and I know it, I know you. So explain everything to me right now or else I will go and tell your beautiful girlfriend about this" Hoseok attacked him with questions.
There was a silence after his outburst.
"How did you find out?" Jimin asked him back, avoiding to look in his eyes. "Your voice changed, your looks changed entirely, or in other words puberty hit you like a truck. But it was just that when I saw you . . . you were so familiar. And yesterday with what you did, it was all too obvious" Hoseok shrugged.
"I'm back for revenge" Jimin stopped his words just there, not wanting to tell him anything more than that. "I knew that." Hoseok rolled his eyes at him. "What more have you got there? What's the planning?" Of course Hoseok was aware that he won't be able to get much out of Jimin, but he knew Jimin blurted out whatever was going on in his mind when he was pissed.
"You're going to tell Chaeyoung" Jimin said as a matter-of-fact. "I won't" Hoseok gave his ex-best friend a look. "I don't trust you" Jimin mocked his expression. "Well, I knew who you were all along but I kept quiet. But now that you both are dating, I couldn't help but question your actions, Jimin" The elder one reasoned out, taking a deep breath.
"What do you think I'm gonna do?" Jimin couldn't help but ask. He might not see Hoseok as he used to in middle school, but somewhere in the paining memories of the past, he remembered Hoseok as the boy whose beautiful smile had been taken away from him in just one moment and he was left broken.
