"Everything and everyone is connected." - Jennie.

White wasn't just everyone's color. But when the girl wearing a white dress with delicate black handmade craft stepped out of a black Lamborghini with her bold red lipstick and smooth black eyeliner as well as her sharp collarbone which was exposed due to her raven hair that fell perfectly on her shoulders, everyone just thought that the color was made for her.

It might have been because she was a celebrity that she caught everyone's attention, but then again, it wasn't like anyone attending this party was less than a celebrity. They were all from big and rich families, and there were also some like Hoseok who had made their own place in this upper-class society after a heck of a struggle.

"Good evening, Irene-shi" Irene turned around upon hearing that velvety voice that she had been wanting to hear since this morning, and her lips immediately formed a smile when her eyes met the most beautiful pair of brown orbs that she had ever seen.

"Good evening, Jungkook-shi" She greeted, letting him take her hand and kiss her knuckles as if they were attending a royal ball instead of a normal party. "You look mesmerizing" Jungkook grinned at her, trying hard not to check her out. The girl's beauty was tempting him to do so, but he controlled himself, knowing that there were other better opportunities to hold her close to him later on.

"Thank you, you look enthralling" She complimented him back, intertwining her hands in front of her as they were suddenly engulfed in an awkward silence. They didn't know each other that well to say something more than a few words, but then what was Irene even here for? To know him, right? She was just going to do that, and he was just going to let her, because that's what he figured out to do after Hoseok's words knocked some sense into him.

"Would you like to have a small drink? The emcee isn't here yet to start the dance" He seemed very professional as he said that, as if he was talking with a business client instead of his date for tonight. Irene couldn't hold a chuckle in at her thoughts, and she nodded.

She didn't mind his hand that rested on the small of her back as he guided her to the bar counter. Very much knowing that they would be a rumored couple after this, the two carelessly let the others take their pictures.

"Oh my, you look absolutely gorgeous, Irene!" Lisa squealed, not knowing what else to say to the girl she debated if she hated. Lisa and Taehyung hadn't breathed a word to one another after their argument, and so, Lisa decided to stick with her very own sister Jennie and let him go with his friends, they couldn't stand each other, they couldn't talk with each other.

Yet, that is.

Irene studied the girl next to Lisa; she had cat eyes and the golden eye-makeup made them even more prettier than they already were, she was wearing a shimmery mermaid golden dress with a slit on one side and a belt around her waist, and Irene would be lying if she said that the girl wasn't literally shining amongst the crowd.

"Thank you! And you look stunning, Lisa, I love your hair!" Irene gave her an unexpected hug which made Lisa stiffen and freeze for a second before she regained her composure and hugged the girl back, both of them making sure to not squeeze each other.

Huh, no wonder she can lure men so easily, how can someone not like someone as sweet as her? Lisa almost rolled her eyes at her thoughts, but quickly put up a smile as they broke the hug. Jungkook, who was standing a few steps away from the three girls and almost right behind Irene, saw what Lisa did.

He wondered what was going on in her head, he was curious to know why Lisa was giving fake smiles to Irene. Hadn't they literally clicked as if they had known each other forever? But why is Lisa acting this way? Jungkook was snapped out of his thoughts upon hearing Lisa's voice ringing in his ears.

"Thanks. Meet Jennie unnie, my older sister" Lisa introduced Jennie, who gave them both a smug smile by recognizing Irene almost instantly. "Hello Jennie, but I think we should tell Lisa that we've met before" Irene and Jennie chuckled while the clueless face of Lisa glanced at both of them.

"Really?" Lisa asked, confused. "Yeah, I'm good friends with Seulgi, and she's the reason we met" Jennie confessed. "Hmm, in the dressing room, was it? Our last show in New York?" Irene questioned, and Jennie nodded at her.

"Unnie you know Seulgi unnie? Why didn't you ever tell me?" Lisa looked at Jennie in disbelief, as if she had experienced the biggest betrayal of her life. "Everything and everyone is connected, Lisa, why do you always forgot that I'm the supervisor of New York fashion week aside from working in New Zealand?" Jennie giggled at her.

"Where's Taehyung?" Jungkook felt like he had to get out of there, it certainly does feel very uncomfortable when you're a boy standing with three girls who don't even care that you're there and talk like there's no tomorrow.

"Over there with Yoongi and Hoseok" Jennie was the one who had listened to his question and answered him, and then she quickly joined Lisa and Irene's conversation about some handbags.

Jungkook stifled a laugh upon noticing that the girls were so focused in a conversation about those branded handbags which literally looked like some 5 year old kid had painted them with brushes.

He quickly took his drink and left them to talk. Finding Hoseok was never an easy task for him, the older was usually at places from you could look anywhere. It must be the table close to the stage, Jungkook gave a curt nod to himself and started walking towards the mint haired boy and brunet that he had spotted.

"I don't even know anymore," Taehyung's sigh was heard as the said boy's back was facing him, Jungkook took a sip from the cocktail as he stood next to Hoseok and Yoongi. "What's going on?" Jungkook asked the two men, his eyes on his best friend who was the only one sat on a chair with his head hung low.

"They . . uh, fought" Hoseok told him, to which his mouth just formed an 'o'. "Taehyung, don't think about it too much. You're going with her on the vacation, aren't you? She'll be fine, you guys will be fine" Hoseok reassured Taehyung, putting a hand on his shoulder. "I hope so" Taehyung didn't; he really didn't think it could work out now.

" . . . And let's dance the night away!" All of their heads turned to the stage when the emcee's speech came to an end, and the slow jazz music changed to a romantic song instantly, making the four of them look at each other with shrugs before they parted ways.

"This could be your night, Jungkook. Your chance" Hoseok reminded the younger as they were walking to the ladies who were laughing and chatting with each other. "Yes, I'll try my best" Jungkook replied, his eyes focused on Irene, her distant laugh becoming more clearer for him with every step he took towards her.

"I hope something works out for you" Hoseok looked away from the sight, a sigh leaving his lips as he immediately smiled at Momo.
