19. President Pepper

Zavrina POV

She was a master at juggling many things, but this year she may be in over her head.

With all her activities, she had little time for herself. Time to do nothing but relax and chill. Maybe that was overrated because she did enjoy staying busy.

She was at her student government office getting ready for a day of meetings, sipping her third cup of black coffee with no sugar when in walked the boy himself.

"Hey, babe." Kenyon walked in like it was his office.

"He-ey!" She jumped up from her chair. He had never come to her office before and someone could see them together. "What are you doing here?"

"Can't I come to see my girl?"

She went over to close her door because anyone could walk by and see him.

"Kenyon, this is not the time to just mess around, I'm working."

Kenyon pulled her in his arms. "Why can't we mess around in here, that would be hot." He kissed her. "Mmm, my girl in here running things like a boss."

She smiled because she liked the compliment, and she liked getting to hang with Kenyon someplace other than hidden in his room at the frat house. But she had to stay business-like.

"Kenyon, I don't have time to just hang out, for real. What do you need-"

He kissed her again and that shut her up.

"Come on Kenyon, for real!" She pulled away from his kisses, although they made her tingle all over. Why was the man so damn fine? He was dressed in all black, jeans and shirt, and his long hair pulled back on a man-bun. She wanted to jump on his face, yet she knew she had to chill with that.

"Okay, my bad," he backed up from her. "Can I still hang out with you for a bit?"

"For a bit," she went back to her chair and sat. "I have a meeting soon."

"Cool, cool." Kenyon sat in the chair on the other side of the desk. "So guess who stopped me a while ago and chatted with me about you?"

"Ummm...do I want to guess?"

"Your Teetee."

"Unh-unh, you are not calling my Auntie Jossie that!"

"Why not? TeeTee cool. And she hot! I mean, shit, can I be down?"

"Boy, she's old and she's married."

"She could get her cougar on."

"Look here-"

"I'm just playing baby, I got you and you're a hand full."

"What did Jossie say to you?" He grinned, didn't say anything, just gave her a look. "What is that look for?"

"You told her about us? Aaah, baby, so you are ready to get serious then. You're telling your fam, that makes us official, right?"

She rolled her eyes at him but was kind of disturbed her aunt would say something to Kenyon. She told her she was keeping it on the DL, but maybe she was too old to fully understand that.

"I did not tell her about you...I mean...I never said your name, she kinda...figured it out. Anyway, what did she say?"

"She asked me about my classes, what I was planning on doing with my life, and..."

"Oh my gosh! No way!" She was so embarrassed. She should have kept her mouth shut with her aunt, now she was never going to live this down.

"It's cool babe, I said the right shit...I think. But that leads me here, and I need your help."
