Jill POV

"It's not like there are dozens of ladies trying to rush Mu Alpha Chi, and even if there were how many have the qualifications we are looking for?" Jill looked around at the other two. "This just makes our job easier."

The MAX ladies were at the Mu Alpha Chi house early Saturday morning for a special call meeting. Typically they met Sunday afternoons, but there was important information that needed to be discussed. They were gathered in the "study room" of the house, an extra room they held meetings. The house was a regular house, not all glamourous like the white Greek houses down Greek Row. MAX house was a three-bedroom two-bath house that Jill and Sherry shared. They had all their meetings there and hosted their Sister Circle monthly discussions there. Everything else they tried to hold on campus.

"The question is, how many can we handle?" Sherry asked.

"There were three of us last year, we handled the three of you just fine," Zavrina stated, as the only one of the three that had gone through intake as a MAX.

Jill's other line sister was a senior when she pledged, so she graduated. Zavrina was the only sophomore on her line of five the previous year, so all her line sisters were gone.

"So we definitely are having a line?" Sherry asked. "All in favor?"

Both Zavrina and Jill raised their hands.

"I have a shortlist of those that have the G.P.A. qualifications and I will get the rush info up on our Twitter and Instagram page. We can have interviews in a week. Jill, as Vice President, you will be Dean of Pledges. That's all we need to discuss today." Sherry hit her gavel on the table dismissing the meeting.

"We had to do this now though?" Jill jumped up and let out a loud, dramatic sigh. "LS you take your position too seriously. You could have been with your man or something...and Zav....you could have been...well, no guy that I know of, but uh-"

Zavrina threw a balled-up sheet of paper at her.

"Look little neo, get you a life."

"I tried it last night. All those hot Alphas, all those hot men, none were checking for me. I mean, I'm CUTE, right?"

"You a'ight," Zavrina chimed in.

"Anyway munchkin' dwarf, you were supposed to hook me up with ole boy but your ass left the party early."

"How about you hook yourself up? He's just a guy, go say hi and talk to him. You did not need me for that."

"Well...maybe next time." There was a party every weekend, so maybe the cutie would be at the next party.  "How am I supposed to meet a boyfriend when these guys are too scared to talk to me? I mean, I know I'm this hot celebrity DJ and err'thang..."

Zavrina and Sherry looked at each other and then burst out laughing.

"What's funny?" Jill asked.

"You do know radio peeps ain't known for looking hot. Face for radio, not TV," Sherry stated.

"Fuck you heffa, I'm cute!" Jill bellowed in her loud voice. Her sorors were always hating on her because she was young, maybe a little naive with boys, but she was smart when it counted.

"And loud, and obnoxious, and a little weird sometimes...unapproachable. Chill down some and you can find a boy to date. Plenty around here. I mean, not plenty, but some," know-it-all Zavrina had to say.

"Hook me up with some you know."

"I'm out." Zavrina completely ignored her, gathering her things in her bag. "I gotta get back to the rez hall. Mentor some needy students."
