Sherry POV

"Girl, you have a whole boyfriend, why are you worrying about these other jerks?" Kaori asked while they sat in the Student Union between classes, sharing a pizza with Rosaline.

She told them about Taj hitting on her, but he was not the only one. Should be flattered guys found her attractive, but she figured what most wanted was to hit it and quit it. That never was her style. She was into relationships, and if a guy was not on that level with her, why waste her time?

"Because guys act like they don't know I've been with Donte for over a year. Why do they even think I'm the type to cheat?"

"Well..." Kaori started to say something but then shut up.

"Me? Never! Why cheat when I could just leave?"

"What's wrong with having two guys?" Rosaline said. "These lil boys do it, if you get a chance, do it!"

"And what guy have you considered being in a ménage a Trois?" Kaori asked with a chuckle and a wink.

Sherry rolled her eyes at her friend. "Stop playing. I'm not into that freaky deaky mess. I love Donte. I want to marry Donte and have the perfect family. You will see."

"He's a good one, definitely a keeper, but getting married?" Rosaline said. "Get your freak on a bit more."

"And notice she didn't answer my damn question," Kaori said, taking the last slice of pizza. She was not eating healthy today.

She smiled. She did not name names when she mentioned Taj's flirting, especially since she found him attractive and was thinking about him in ways she should not be thinking about. What was wrong with her? She had a good man. She did not want to mess that up, but she had to know if Donte was in it for the long haul like her. What if he didn't want to get married soon after graduation? How long would she have to wait?

Being her, she needed to know the answers and not guess.

After her classes, she gathered all her homework and study material, and a few days' worth of clothes so that she could stay with Donte for a few days. Maybe living with him in a long-term fashion would speed things up. Let him know how serious she was about him. Men needed a push sometimes, especially with marriage. It was November, they graduated in May. She should have a ring by now so that she could plan their wedding for June.

She had not told Donte she was coming over or even that she was staying a few days. Hopefully, it would be a nice surprise.

She made it to his apartment and gathered her things, and walked to his apartment. She knocked but then heard nothing. It wasn't too late, he was not asleep, and she knew his schedule, he should be home. Maybe he had a meeting. She knocked again and then heard something, so she pulled out her phone and texted him that it was her at the door.

When he finally opened it, he looked like he just woke up and he was dressed in nothing but boxers.

"What are you doing here?" he asked, rubbing his eyes.

"Why are you sleeping at seven in the evening?"

"Just a nap. Tired. Come on in, babe." He grabbed her bag. "What's going on? Why are you here with your stuff? Jill getting on your nerves?"

"No, I just want to spend time with my man." She leaned to kiss him, but he moved back.

"Let me wash up girl, I stink."

She did not get a whiff of him, but he smelled fine to her. But there was a smell lingering in the place. "Yes, and this house smells too. You need me to help you clean, I don't mind?"
