Jill POV
Why was she stuck on dumb when it came to Ivan?
Every night after listening to his radio show, she would imagine he was in bed with her.
In class, she could barely speak to him anymore because looking at him, with the dreams of the previous night was hard.
Whenever she saw "that little girl" the eye-rolling was so hard she thought she would break her neck.
Pretty girl. She was jealous of her in so many ways. Younger, she was able to find a guy like Ivan and seemed very happy with him.
Her Ivan.
Well, all was not lost. There could still be a chance he still wanted to be with her. But how was she going to let him know she wanted to be with him?
"Hey, Ivan!"
"Supersonic, what's up," he said to her, sitting beside her in class.
"Great show last night."
"I think I've hit my stride now."
It was true, since she'd been listening she could feel his confidence in himself, the way he talked and handled himself on air. He had not done a summer internship as she had, he was coming in cold, just based on what he learned in class. In all honesty, her intern was bull crap and she would not recommend it to those wanting to break into radio. Something she had to learn.
"You still want to compare notes over our shows? Maybe we can do something together."
"Cool. How about we make it through this test first? I'm barely holding on to my high C, and I want to make at least a B on this test. This weekend maybe? I mean...if you don't have a date or something."
She smiled because that was a good way to insert herself right into his life. Just the two of them, no pesky girlfriend around.
"We can study together. Whenever we do, we both get better scores." This was true, although right now she already had an A in the class.
"My place?"
"I'll bring the snacks."
She made sure she looked extra cute going over to Ivan's, something she never cared about before. He had seen her looking like a scrub with messy hair, no make-up, and wrinkled clothes. Not today. She spent the whole Saturday laying in bed doing nothing, then she changed into a cute dress, yes, just to study, and she put on light make-up, only some eye shadow, blush, and lip gloss.
She stuffed her bra as well. She was never lacking in that area, but she wanted them to stand out and for Ivan to notice.
The last touch was to spray herself heavily with her favorite vanilla-scented spray.
She smoothed down her hair and then walked to Ivan's residence hall. Once she knocked on his door she realized something.
"I FORGOT THE SNACKS!"
He laughed at her as he let her in.
"Figured you would. I ordered a pizza for us. I feel like I have to cram several weeks of studying into one night. I've been slacking."
She looked him over with a smile. He still had on what he wore earlier in class, but he looked good. She kept thinking about him with no shirt on as she saw him at his swim meet. He had another one coming up and she was going to be there front and center, cheering the loudest. Even louder than girly "Lindy."
It was one of the tougher classes they had and the Professor was known to give hard tests. She aced the midterm, the only one in the class with an A. She was not super smart by any means, but when a class was on a subject she enjoyed, she let it soak in and learned everything she could about it.
