Lark POV

Instead of going home where she was not wanted, she decided to stay at the MAX house for Spring Break. Since Sherry was going to be gone all of Spring Break, she took her room and offered to help with any payment. Since working, getting help from Jossie, and borrowing money from Kenyon, she was doing better financially.

Now all she had to focus on was graduating and maybe deciding to stay for graduate school.

"If you stay, girl you can live in the house with me and we can have so much fun!" Jill also chose to stay in Bloomington-Normal for Spring Break. It was cool getting to hang with her and getting to know her even better. Jill was a lot of things, but this was the first time she got to know her on a deeper personal level.

"Would I be allowed to do that, you know, as a graduate student? I thought that was reserved for undergrads."

"I mean, historically, yes. But I think all that matters is someone living in the house and helping pay this mortgage down. As an Alumni you contribute anyway. Makes sense just give a little more and live here."

That would be cool, something she never thought she would be able to do, live in the MAX house. Graduate school was looking better and better.

"And Frankie will still be here and he can come to see you any time you want...as long as you two don't get loud."

She laughed at her. "See now look, I can't control that. Wear earbuds."

"Got that right. I have been doing that with Sherry."

"But what about you? Are you done chasing these boys and just enjoying as much of your college experience as you can?"

She grunted but did not say anything.

"Is there another boy you are interested in, besides Mac because you know...I mean, what about that new Epsilon Upsilon that crossed last semester?"

"Brian Reeves? Girlllll! That boy is worse than Kenyon when it comes to sleeping around."

"Well, you misjudged him-"

"Not misjudged, he changed. I don't have time to wait around for a guy to change and not act like a dog."

"Brian's cute."

"I didn't say he was not. I'd rather not date a player type guy."

"What about-"

"There's only one guy out there I'm interested in, and I think I fucked that up. He's moved on and has a girlfriend."

"Ummm..." She did not know what to say about that. If a guy moved on, that meant it was over. She could wait around and see if things would work out or not, but that did not mean she had to wait around all alone.

"If he is happy-"

"He's not!" Jill shouted out.

"You know he's not?"

She shrugged, poking her lips out in a pout. "I mean, he wanted me at first and I turned him down. If I tell him how I feel now-"

"So just step on another girl's toes? Jill, that's not a good idea."

"He doesn't even like her! Ugh! She's annoying as fuck too. GIRL! She's so loud and talks so much, what is wrong with her? He can do better than that, right?"

She squinted her eyes, really in disbelief that Jill did not hear herself. She was no pro at relationships, she sucked in her previous one, and she was still unsure if Frankie was the right guy for her. Judging by Jill's track record with guys, she sucked worse than her. She did not want to give advice, it was not for her to say.
